Stop melting after the Eagles pick him

Philosophy: sacking shite.

Philosophy being a badass
Posted on 4/27/23 at 10:41 pm to SlowFlowPro
Multiple 3-4 defenses passed on him. Why would the saints, the polar opposite of 3-4 front draft him?
Posted on 4/27/23 at 10:43 pm to SlowFlowPro
Neither was Parsons to Cowboys. Just saying
Posted on 4/27/23 at 10:44 pm to DBG
Well the Eagles run a 4-man front but they can afford major DL depth so they can afford to draft him as a situational player

They play 240lb DE’s- see Hassan Reddick
Saints don’t

It's Carter that will be the difference maker.

Smith has a fricking badass, he fits a philosophy of being a good team

An injured pass rusher? He's a perfect fit.

Maybe we should.... working out great for them, not so much for us
Posted on 4/27/23 at 10:47 pm to SlowFlowPro
Hahahaha, you must be new... remember when we passed on Suggs, because he was a 3-4 OLB?? AND WE TOOK FRICKING SULLIVAN?
Dudes who sack QBs fit into any system.

He can't play as a full-time DE and we rely on full-time DEs who play both ways. It's how our whole scheme is built.
With our cap issues, we can't afford the depth the Eagles can

Nolan Smith is a pass rusher that had 11.5 sacks in 4 years in college
You goofballs would be crushing the saints for drafting someone with those numbers

Agree. You take the best pass rushers you can and make it work.
A guy who runs 4.3 as a DE won’t be situational. He’s gonna be on the field chasing QBs for their lives.
You take him and find him a spot.
Obviously our system doesn’t work anyway, the team is crap.

Bresee had 15 TFLs and 9 sacks in 25 games
Smith had 20 TFLs and 12.5 sacks in 38 games
Could give AF about Bresee but Nolan Smith ain’t it for this defense either
