Well the Eagles run a 4-man front but they can afford major DL depth so they can afford to draft him as a situational player

Agree. You take the best pass rushers you can and make it work.
A guy who runs 4.3 as a DE won’t be situational. He’s gonna be on the field chasing QBs for their lives.
You take him and find him a spot.
