No QB in this draft worth tanking for

Probably a good year not to have an early 1st round pick. Lots of questions about the top QBs. Bryce Young is a shrimp. CJ Stroud is very inconsistent. Will Levis has just not played well this year, waay too many INTs. I’m fine with taking a flyer on a QB in the 2nd or 3rd this year if the Saints like someone, there’s just not that much of a gap.
Next year, though… Caleb Williams, Drake Maye. I’d never plan to tank, but a top pick in 2024 is a lot more valuable.

Lol this year is a MUCH better crop than last year when the board was fawning over Malik Willis and Matt Corral for a first rounder.

I’d gladly take a chance on Sam Hartman, Max Duggan or Hendon Hooker in the middle rounds. What do you have to lose? I think Hartman can be a really good NFL starter but he might need a little time to develop. Duggan is just all grit and heart and is a winner. Hooker is a little older than most prospects but he seems to be a well rounded player that can sit in the pocket or take off with his legs when he needs to.

You would not pass on Bruce Young if given the chance and his shoulder checks out ok. Still not convinced he does not have some damage there.
I need to each more games the acc guys play in. CJ Stroud could be scary good also but he has this reputation of being inconsistent. Will definitely watch some of the game with Michigan.

We aren't tanking bc we have nothing to offer. We suck and our top talented/paid players are checked out or have quit.

Strictly referring to the QBs that are likely to go top 10. There’s no one in this draft I’d feel comfortable committing to for the next 3 years. Bust potential of Bryce Young just doesn’t seem that much lower than Levis or Hooker or even Richardson.

CJ Stroud has Ohio State QB bust written all over him. I think Young will be a good pro if he can stay healthy. His pocket presence is really good
