No way this game should end bc a team won a coin toss

Yea especially in the playoffs

Almost like Minnesota not having a chance to counter the Saints in the 09 game? Sorry, football is a game of margins and luck is the deciding factor as much as anything else.

They’ve made the OT rules stupid all the way around. It should be a 10 min quarter or sudden death again. The rules now are like a tax attorney wrote them.

Yeah. They should have gotten a chance to score.

And that was wrong too. No one said it was a great rule back then. Almost everyone said it was pathetic to not give the other team a shot, but the Saints won by those rules.
No one is claiming the Chiefs didn’t win by the rules. They are saying the rules are stupid as is.

Only sport who has the worst OT rules is NFL

No one had a problem with the OT rule that was in place for generations for the playoff until it had a negative effect on one of the media’s darlings.

The rule is fine. Nut up and play defense or go home.
Would you rather have college nonsense with 7 overtimes and then have your beat up arse team have to try to play again the next week?

Never will happen unless the saints would have been the winning team
Posted on 1/23/22 at 9:18 pm to bountyhunter
And because the saints won, the nfl
Changed the rule..
Changed the rule..

Remember when we got fricked in 2019 and the message was that it should have never come down to that and we could have stopped them? Well…
13 fricking seconds and you let them get into FG range? Then you did nothing to offer any resistance as they marched down the field…
Until there is a legitimate effort to fix shite like what happened in 2019, I don’t wanna hear a fricking thing about fair. Fair is a place where you put a damn ribbon on a pig. Everyone plays by the same rules. The Bills should have stopped them and it wouldn’t have come down to OT.
Obligatory frick you, Roger.

It didn't it ended when Mahomes drove the ball down the field for a Td.
They didn't get stopped on one play. The Bill's defense could have held for a fg or turnover they didn't they buckled and now the Chiefs are moving on to the buzzsaw Bengals and Joe Burrow.
The rule is fine the Bills got their shite pushed in

If the bills won the toss, the chiefs wouldve lost. Both defenses blew it, over and over. The coin toss decided who won the game

Yes

Might sound stupid but go to college rules, keep playing until there is a winner. It’s not like they aren’t paid enough to work overtime hours once in a while…..
Posted on 1/24/22 at 6:53 am to msstate7
It wouldn’t have ended that way if they played better defense. The rule is in place to step up and make thebplays.

The chiefs gave up 2 TDs inside the 2 min warning. It isn't like their defense made key plays to win it

College changed this rule after the LSU/A&M Game, but nice try.
Just either play a 10 min qtr, or give each team a possession. If KC scores a TD, then Bills need a TD and 2pt conversion. If KC scores a TD and 2pt, game is over.

Minnesota got the overtime win several years ago, with Eric ( Captain Pushoff) Rudolph . Saints never got a chance at the ball in overtime
