The NFL issued a memo to all teams on Friday, December 2, regarding the faking of injuries — and the punishment to be imposed on teams, coaches, and players when fake injuries happen. The NFL has decided that, on Monday, December 5, Saints defensive end Cam Jordan faked an injury. Per a source with knowledge of the situation, Jordan was fined $50,000. His position coach, Ryan Nielsen, also was fined $50,000. Coach Dennis Allen was fined $100,000. And the Saints were fined $350,000. The incident happened after a third-and-17 play by the Buccaneers, midway through the fourth quarter. As quarterback Tom Brady lined up the offense for fourth and 10, Jordan looked to the sideline, took a knee, a and pointed to his lower left leg. The source says that other camera angles reveal Jordan receiving direction from the sideline to go down.

Bengals got hit last week but this is ridiculous. They only got a 50k fine to one player. The nfl has no issue hiding their blatant bias. This has happened so much in football forever

I’m okay with it. But I better see a shite ton of players being fined for fake injuries. I saw two other last weekend. Where are those fines?!

I've seen this 17,000 other times, many of them much more egregious than that. Keep up the good work Roger

I dont think this is near a big enough punishment. NFL should send a message and suspend our coach.

I can only hope that this allows the Saints to terminate Allen’s contract for cause.

Par for the course, the Saints are the example.

Remember the Covid-19 bullshite that kept the Saints out of the playoffs.

Shouldn’t be ok with it. I can’t wait for the first player with a legit injury that gets fined. That will be fun.

We need to talk about how blatant that injury was by Cam. Lmaoooo the panic on his face seeing his defense wasn't ready and he hit the ground to rush the medical folks... Wow lmao

My reaction when it happened. It was ridiculously obvious.

Par for the NFL to utilize a penalty against the saints so early. Gale is a weak owner.

31 teams get a slap on the wrist. 1 team gets the gorilla appendage rammed up their backside. Par for the course with that clown running the NFL.

Saints have come out with a statement and are appealing. They disagree with the accusation.

Im not sure how the nfl can prove this if all proper protocols are followed
