could be that they have it in for Payton too. I wouldn't expect Denver to get any breaks with the calls this

This is the key question. Clearly Payton left for the reasons he said “this franchise has no juice”.

If he’s right, why do we spend so much money and time supporting a rigged game?

Also the no call against Rudolph for offensive PI that lost that game

Of the three straight years of heartbreaks in the postseason, this is the one I'd point to that didn't decide the game - it just ended it.

Minnesota deserved to win that 2019-2020 playoff game, no doubt. It was a missed PI, but they dominated the trenches, had significant TOP advantage, and Taysom was our leading rusher (if that gives you any reminder of how bad we were rushing that day).

Still, frick the refs and frick the NFL and frick Goodell for what they've robbed this franchise of out of spite for getting called out.

Anyone who thinks they just missed that call in the Rams game is blind

The Saints need another team to come into the league so they are the worst in penalties.

I hate Goodell and the NFL establishment. They have given us the shaft for half a century.

Maybe the league's ire will finally leave the Saints alone and will follow Payton

I 100% believe Sean Payton and agree with his view.

There was a window where it was a given that we were going to get a holding or DPI against us in a crucial 4th quarter drive. Go watch the 1st half of the Minnesota Miracle game and tell me that shite wasn’t rigged. The game shouldn’t have even been that close.

Sean and the Saints were anomaly and could overcome, and it pissed Goodell off even more. Because of that, I don’t wish that to follow Coach Payton or be directed at any other NFL team’s fans who invest a piece of their life to support a team in good faith. That’s who it ultimately hurts.

Edit to add:

Minnesota Miracle penalties; Saints 7-97 Vikings 4-30

i think, if there were any holdouts still wanting to target the saints, this should ensure that they switch targets from the saints to ONLY the broncos after doing this in public calling them out

If this is why, it’s ridiculous.

Agreed but it's the truth. If you've ever scanned comments on YouTube, Twitter, article discussion sections etc, you'd see a widely adopted opinion that the Saints are the dirtiest team in the league and deserved every playoff collapse and bad call.

And the one infamous no call that cost the Saints a trip to the Super Bowl

This bullshite is what started my own personal "boycott" of the NFL. I don't necessarily boycott it as much as I don't give a shite about it anymore. The watering down of the league along with the corruption has completely sapped my interest in it. I didn't watch that fraudulent Super Bowl, nor have I watched the NFL since then. I strictly watch the Saints and tune out the rest of the league. Here and there I may leave a game on if something catches my attention, but that is extremely rare.

A study of penalties committed against each team in the prior four seasons showed that the Saints ranked 30th, 31st, 32nd, and 32nd in penalties called against their opponents. If it’s happenstance, it’s an extreme statistical rarity.

Glad we have an owner focused more on paying off Catholic Church crimes than calling out the league for this bullshite.

What if calling out the league triggers another round of bad publicity for the owner concerning the Catholic Church past issue.

You don't think the NFL knows how to play dirty with outspoken owners. Most owners learn to shut up and collect their share of the profits.

If in fact the NFL owners and Goodell have a vendetta against the Saints and or sean payton

What do you think is the cause or reason for this vendetta?

Like they need a reason. Sure, Sean has poked the bear numerous times.

But screwing over a franchise and devaluing it in the process is shitty business

Its still petty as frick.

You didnt see them go after Jones to that degree when Jones called them out for suspending elliot years ago.

Didnt the krafts also go after the NFL at some point?

But no, it was just Sean and the Saints he continues to have a hard on for.

We'll see if that changes. I feel like we got penalized alot last year too but that felt like gross incompetence on our part. We were a sloppy team.

Maybe Tom Benson threatening to move the Saints out of New Orleans after Katrina

And the NFL had to intervene and shut his arse down had something to do with it?

To San Antonio or Birmingham no less

Well I will say this probably falls under the old mantra that "you could call holding on every play".
