No, I want to correct people who clearly have no idea what they are talking about. By your own words you said people might feel differently if the Saints had been compensated with Payton leaving. Well, they were compensated. Maybe have a clue before posting about things.

Sean told the media at his going away dinner that he got tailed uptown for like an hour and couldn't shake them until he pulled into the Touro parking garage and told the security guard what was going on.

That being said, he chose to move out of the Sanctuary in Mandeville.

He wanted to go to Dallas or Los Angeles but things did not fall into place for him. He settled for Denver. He would have been better off here.

I don't think it was the paparazzi he was referring to

Lol, go frick yourself. My original post was agreeing with someone. If you want to head up the Sean Payton fan club, knock yourself out. By your own words, you said we could have possibly gotten more compensation for him. If you are happy with how CSP and the Saints parted, great.

So, the day-to-day crime in NOLA would have very little impact on their lives.

The surrounding region is no picnic either. Not many people that aren’t from this area would choose to live here.

There’s no comparison driving NOLA region and how shitty everything looks (roads, buildings, etc.) compared to metro Denver.

I don’t fault him for leaving and the reasons of how the Saints are a pimple on the elephants arse in the league hierarchy. Payton correctly showed the facts of penalty discrepancies for multiple years. If the game is rigged (and the NFL clearly has favorites) May as well go to a team with juice.

He did say that, very clearly

The blown call in the NFC Championship game killed his desire to coach here.

Owner was way too quiet after the call because she only cares about money.

What would you have liked her to do?

I don’t have that much animosity towards Payton. I do think it’s mind blowing that he thought it was a good idea to go to the AFC.

Payton is a good coach. Maybe very good but We’ll find out whether he’s very good now that he doesn’t have Drew Brees playing qb for him.

Brees made coaches, receivers and everyone around him better.
