anything is a bonus, even a 7th

just taking his contract, straight up, saves us money and would be helpful
Saves us nothing except prorated portion of a minimum contract for the rest of the season. Would make no sense whatsoever.

I’d be asking for a player rather than a pick. Help your team this season rather than potentially down the road

Personally with how bad the OL is I don't think you can trade the backup right now

If Haener wasn't suspended, I'd take a 4th

I think Jameis is worth more as a backup now than any late round pick. We are trying to win now. If we need a couple games out of him, he’s capable. Much better than what we dealt with 2 years ago with Ian Book starting a game.

1: If you (front office) think that this is a Super Bowl roster or close to one, you do not trade him. Its a perspective thing.

2: The Jets don't want him. They are riding with Wilson, to their demise.

Min a. 3rd is what I would take

Jets aint giving up a 3rd for a backup when he's a FA in a few months.

Well, they might give up a 3rd but not for Jameis. 5th is a fair trade IMO

As I said, Jameis is worth more to us than he would be to another team

would not trade him. We don’t have a viable backup right now
