Seems very good vs the run. On clips he looks like a lber out there. He also is the guy penetrating and flushing the qb out of the pocket.
Bo Davis and Stewart might be a good thing.

A&m also seemed to play a lot of 3 man fronts for whatever that is worth when evaluating his lack of sack production.

One thing I noticed about him watching A&M games is that he doesn’t take plays off. He has a relentless motor. The lack of sack production is puzzling though. But I mean we hired Bo Davis for a reason. Let him coach him up. If this dude hits he’s a superstar. I just want talent at this point.

I see a lot of comps to Danielle Hunter coming out of LSU. He’s the easy comp given his lack of sack production at LSU
Stewart played at 281 at the senior bowl, came to the combine at 267
Stewart looks way more athletic and fluid than a guy like Davenport, who was more stiff and mechanical. Both RAS darlings but Stewart moves differently imo

I wouldn’t hate it.
His 12 TFL's and 4.5 sacks in three seasons really makes my boxers tight

stewart seems more of a nastier type dude. little more bend and violence. can eat blocks, can set edges, can chase qb's or rb's when needed. versatile.
Stewart, Nolen, Johnson all defensive guys that i think instantly fit our needs.

You get a crack at him at 1.9, or someone takes him ahead of you and pushes another guy down, or perhaps someone wants to trade up for him
The more “studs” that emerge at the combine, the better for us

yeah and people get it twisted on hunter, he wasn't a workout warrior that didn't live up to his billing at LSU. He did what Chavis and co. wanted him to do schematically and that was defend the run and he did it well.

Pearce had a good day as well
Wouldn't mind either one

NFL Network mentioned he was doing really well in all the meetings too.
He’s been slotted as a high 2nd round or low 1st rounder in most mocks or rankings. My guess is that he likely is propelled into the teens now.

He could be amazing. It’s hard as hell to justify another top 10 pick on a high score, low production “project” guy though.

assuming we aren't qb hunting... the top 8 prospects that i'm assuming or rooting to go before us would at least be:
Carter (assuming)
Hunter (assuming)
Graham (assuming)
Campbell (rooting and assuming)
Ward/Shadeur (assuming)
Tmac (rooting)
That leaves 1 unknown draft pick to fill the gap.

You don’t take a player with that amount of sacks at de in the top 10. I don’t care how athletic he looks in his underwear running without blockers in front of him. Walks and Williams are twice the prospect that dude is. Not even sure I’d draft him in the first round.

The OL workouts could catapult a guy or two as well. There’s a handful of guys in that 10-20 range already
And Tyler Warren is going to show out as well, he will be in play for the top 10

More and more smoke about the other Michigan DT moving way up too.

Danielle Hunter was not as productive in college eaither.

He’s not working out now, has a hamstring. That was his ticket to move up

Pretty high on him after watching his tape. Very natural pass rusher that just has the it factor to get sacks.
Want him with our 2nd rounder if Grant is off the board.
