So with the money problems that he brings to the table, it looks like we aren't getting rid of him. BUT, does anyone feel as though he's become a cancer to the locker room? Kind of like when Jimmy Graham got paid and his big head wouldn't fit through the door? I mean, we've got a burner in Shaheed, and a good slot with Landry and then Olave can do both, but is Thomas a necessary fit here any longer?

If there is a chance to redo his deal and keep him u do it, he is a hell of a weapon when healthy

Michael Thomas - when healthy - is an alpha. None of those others you mentioned are close to alpha WR. Thomas is necessary unless we draft or otherwise acquire an alpha WR.

If he’s healthy and motivated? Yes. I fully believe he’s still at top 5 WR when healthy. He just never plays now. But in a way, your best bet might just be to hope since we got Carr, Thomas plays most of the season. If you lose him, WR becomes a huge need. Even with him, I think WR is a need.

VictoryHill is right^^

Great if healthy…. But he has only played in a few more games than I have the last few years.

If he wants to be here he will adjust his contract.

If he wants to be here you better believe the FO will welcome him as he is alpha #1 WR like few others.

Landry is no guarentee to come back.

I dont think he is a cancer. Hard to deal with yes.

He's come out as approving of the Carr deal. The best scenario would be for him to have a great year and build his value.

The Graham situation was a little different. Also when MT first got his money he put up a record breaking year, then all the shite happened.

And based on the rest of the WRs in the building, he’s a great complement to Olave & Shaheed’s skill sets. Even if Landry comes back and can contribute, the offense would only benefit from having both

Oh, that's it? Well pay the man! Because never playing isn't a huge deal. LOL

Seriously though... I'd rather have an average WR that suits up every Sunday than an "Alpha" that never fricking plays.

friendly reminder to the board that he was told the deadline to have surgery a few offseasons ago so that he wouldn't miss week 1 and he chose to wait 6 weeks causing him to miss....you guessed it....the first 6 weeks.

Then, magically, he had another series of injuries and a bout with covid every time he was a week away from coming back causing him to miss the entire season.

Just a friendly reminder...

He hasn't been healthy in 3 years..... We don't know shite about what he is.

Also: Define healthy for MT. Does Suiting up = Healthy?

Trade him straight up for Carr's ex teammate and ex college teammate Devante Adams. Bring Devante in down there and reunite them, get rid of spoiled brat Thomas to the Raiders. A even swap, 2 of the top Wrs in the league for each other!

Well Thomas tripped on the way out the door of his house on the way to saints facility and fricked up another toe, so he is out another year

Surprised, but starting to believe Carr will make a difference with MT. You cannot argue with the talent level when healthy. If he can keep his head straight, he is a huge asset. Guessing he will accept a restructured deal & stay with the guy at QB.
