Why he would wait until now to have the surgery makes no sense.

a 2nd injury that was suffered in "garbage time" that had a massive detrimental effect to our 2020 season
the other being Kwon's torn Achilles
MT13's injury was suffered very late in week 1 vs. TB

I wouldn’t call the injury to MT13 during garbage time. The saints were up 2 scores with 10 minutes left against Tom Brady. It was also week 1 so you needed all the reps you can possibly get. It was a freak accident on a running play.

Previous reports stated he needed multiple surgeries so it’s likely this isn’t the first surgery he’s had to recover from this offseason, which would delay this surgery

Sometimes I wish MT was just a Tyreke Hill type or someone that goes off and gets a dui or something. Dude is the most annoying off the field knucklehead that never actually does anything illegal. Which is so weirdly frustrating.
