Just wondering here where the terrible attitude comes from? What about the commitment to football? How did you come to this conclusion? He had one bad drill at his pro day and that was his 40 time which for a pass rusher means nothing. He did great in his position drills, change of direction drills, and his 10 yd split which is the only time that matters was comparable to all the other pass rushers in this draft. The film DOES NOT lie, if you can get to the QB you can get to the QB and you are a hot commodity. He may not be a first round lock but no way he makes it out of the second round.

How does this kind of mistake get made by a guy like Arden? Doesn't he have access to his 40 times and doesn't LSU provide counseling on whether or not he should go pro?

If they knew his 40 times and his reputation for being lazy then surely a good HC and staff at LSU could have promised to work with him over the course of this next season to optimize his 40 time and help his reputation re: the laziness.

Real failure by Arden, his agent/s, his advisers, and by LSU.

Pretty sure LSU is more than happy to part ways with him. I doubt they fought to convince him to stay.

What about the commitment to football?

Weight issues for one. And then his mysterious 4 month leave of absence from the team. His dad tried to cover it up that he was under pressure as a student athlete, but what it really was is either drug issues or not wanting to commit to football.

Then consider when he finally came back, he wasn't much of a factor anyway. 4 sacks in 8 games with 2 coming in one game.

I graduated from LSU and I am a fan of former players (outside if they play for the Falcons, Bucs, or Panthers) but Key is going to probably be a Day 3 selection and it's all on him as to why.

Key is a small, slow, weak DE/edge defender with off the field issues and concerns about his love of the game and motor.

I’d honestly be surprised if he’s drafted before the 3rd round

Kiper is a total fraud who know nothing about football and McShay is markedly worse.
Kiper has been, by far, the best in the business. The only one who was on his level was Bushbaum. Mayock is pretty good and probably the only other one that can compete with Kiper. It is a shame that ESPN bought Kiper out as his draft guides were the best and most informative there was. Now he has to adhere to the ESPN rules and has to follow their guidelines.

I didnt know about his pro day, but even with that I still see him going in the top 3 rounds. There is so much value there.

Not an LSU homer, could care less about LSU football. He’s a player with an extremely high ceiling and a lot of talent regardless of how slow he ran in a straight line for 40 yards. He has his problems, but a shitty pro day isnt going to drop him from the first round to the end of the 4th.

I’ll bump when he gets drafted. He’s going in the first 2 days.

What value? Slow, undersized, off the field problems, does not appear to have his heart in the game, abandoned his team and teammates. Where is the value?

Really grasping at straws here.

What value does he have?
The value that was mocking him to go in the mid-late first.

The hate on Key is rumors circulating on the internet. Provide me with an actual link that says he has off the field issues.

How many 235 pound top edge rushers who run a 4.9 are there in the NFL? If you honestly do not believe he has had off the field issues, you are simply showing your homerism. Way more risk than value with Key.

Mayock

Imo by far the best draft expert out there, and I feel confident saying that without the quotes on expert.

Not always right but way more often than not his analysis is spot on or close to it.

Kiper is decent but has some huge whiffs both ways year after year. Imo I don't think either he really knows what he's always looking at (like the PFF folks) or he doesn't really dig deep into many players.

Mayock is a legit scout. He’ll show up at pro day & do his own homework. Kiper relies on what other people tell him. Big difference

There are issues that we've only seen from the outside. It's clear his risk far exceeds his talent.

There's good shot the browns will draft him.

Yeah if anyone watches nfl network for the draft you can tell he legit scouts EVERYONE. He's giving in depth analysis on guys in the late 7th round and rarely (like maybe once?) has been stumped on who a guy is.

Kiper sits with his dick in his hand after the third round or throws out some bullshite, because who really cares outside of round 1 right?

OP:

I’ll bet you all the money you want Key doesn’t go in the first 2 rounds.

The highest he goes is the 3rd, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see him land in the 4th.

WAY too many red flags.

Is there any other way to watch it? Occasionally I'll flip to ESPN during a commercial and then inevitably go back and watch the commercials rather than listen to ESPN's bs.
