“I dont think Arden Key goes in the first 2 rounds.” - Mcshay

“I dont think Key goes in the fourth.” - Kiper

Sometimes these guys really just have no fricking clue what they’re talking about. I can understand thinking he’ll slip to the 2nd, but how do you actually think he slips past the second.

I hope they’re right. Key with the 3rd rd pick would be an absolute steal, but he’s going in the first two rds.

Dont have a link, they said this in their most recent first draft podcast talking about over/unders for the draft.

Edit: was unaware of his pro day.

If he was 290 and ran a 4.9 he would go within 1 or 2. He is about 235, and ran much slower than all RBs in the NFL some of who are over 235.

On the bright side if he is picked lower he may get to that second contract quicker if he shows out.

Sorry LSU fans. The dude was a good sophomore and overhyped. He’s a lean, tall, slow af de/lb.

We already drafted a 3-4 olb who runs 4.9 in Kikaha. He’s a bust. Add Key’s off the field issues and it’s easy to see why his stock is falling

Disappointing 4.9 forty for being so light, non-elite/average 3-Cone Drill, inconsistent Jr year production, off-the-field concerns ...

I may not be good with English, but I think that spells 4th round.

I just don't feel like he loves football. Has the talent, but you can't fake loving the game.

Well you are the only one who thinks there is no way he slips past second

Kikaha has had injury problems but was productive when he was on the field.

He had a long list of check boxes teams needed to see and he checked hardly any this offseason

Kiper is a total fraud who know nothing about football and McShay is markedly worse. Kiper btw promised to retire in 8 years if Jimmy Clausen isn't a successful NFL qb. That was 8 years ago.

He's undersized, slow, and has off field issues.

It's not crazy to predict that he'll fall to day 3.

If you really think that 4.9 is how fast he plays on the field then you’re crazy lol .

Mayock said he was great in individual drills. He won’t fall past 2-3 imo

4th Round.. and not just 4th round, but towards the end of it close to 5th round. He is a head case.

I think you need to take off those Purple and Gold glasses because while I agree that Kiper and McShay know about as much as the average fan when it comes to mock drafts, they are spot on with Arden Key and him plummeting down the draft board.

What more proof do you need?
1. Terrible attitude
2. Off field issues
3. Commitment to football
4. Terrible pro day

Other than potential, what makes you think he will turn it on for the NFL? This guy was literally mocked as the #1 pick going into the season, and now may struggle to get picked by the 4th round.

And I have some bad news for you. He could be available in the 6th round and Payton and company will pass on him. They want football players. Not potential head cases.
