Dennis Allen was asked about Mike Thomas on WWL Radio. He said he knows Thomas is working extremely hard to get back, really committed to the season and looking forward to getting started. He didn't want to give a tabletable for his return.

I know it’s know much detail, but this only supports what some (I say some intentionally because most of you morons are convinced we’re trading MT and he hates it here) of us have been saying about MT. He’s a Saint, he’s going to be a Saint, and he’s going to dominate.

You literally don’t know this to be not true just cause his arse is stuck and he has to play ball.

That you fall for PR tricks speaks volumes. While none of us know what's going to happen with Thomas (initials numbers if you so choose), these types of statements happen constantly due to PR reps coaching their clients on what to say and how.

Or maybe he doesn’t want to tank his trade value right before the draft

Sean Payton, “I’ll be here as long as they’ll have me”

Brian Kelly, “I might have to talk to the wife of fairy godmother brings a $250mm check”

Maybe both parties came together and realized he has no trade value until he gets back on the field, and cannot be traded due to salary cap until next offseason. It is in both parties' interests to have him suit up and ball out next season if his end goal is to get traded.

What’s the alternative message the coach would say if he weren’t happy?

He needs to work on his attitude first

The last time he was healthy, he completely dominated. Not sure why saints fans hate him so much. I guess he doesn't bother me bc I only care what players do on the field. I'll look to someone outside the sports world if I need some sort of role model

You’re replying to quite possibly the dumbest person on this site. You’re looking for answers in all of the wrong places.

I really don't get it either. I get the doctor thing from this past year but before that he has produced at elite levels.

Supposedly there has been a bunch of shite behind the scenes with mike thomas. I'm sure we will here about it one day.

The doctor/surgery deal was idiotic, but I seriously doubt a top nfl player intentionally lost 1 of his prime years.

Thomas loves his stats too much to intentionally tank a year

Nothing Thomas has ever done says he does only the minimum that’s required. Imagine your overweight arse sitting at your computer desk claiming an elite nfl receiver does the bare minimum.

I hope that MT13 gets back to elite form and dominates again. The question for me is his decision making. He ghosted the team for an entire offseason while he was supposedly recovering and showed up to camp still injured.

He had a year and a half to get his arse ready.

"Look uh its a process that you have to go through but at the end of the day you put your best available players out there to try to win."

"That's right you know everybody that wears the black and gold loves to win and that is who will suit up on Sundays."

And if any of the rumors of him having issues w the team would have gone out the window between Brees retiring, Payton stepping away, and Johnson gone. With Carmichael also taking a reduced role, he’ll get to have all new people around him. And get him a legit QB and some help in the passing game, there’d be no reason for him to want to leave… if any of the rumors were true
