Alvin Kamara per @PFF

BEFORE ankle injury (6 games):
Avoided tackle rate on runs: 34%
Avoided tackle rate on catches: 27%

AFTER ankle injury (5 games):
Avoided tackle rate on runs: 13%
Avoided tackle rate on catches: 14%

Can we put the Kamara sucks and is a pussy to rest now? High ankle sprains are serious. Some of you are daft AF

Well if that's the case fricking REST him. The onus is on Payton then. fricking let him rest and give Murray his snaps and utilize taysom more with inside runs as a change of pace, limit the the predictable wide right outside runs.

You wanna take away the fun from game threads??? You’ll force some

The obvious is to feature Murray, sprinkle in Kamara or sit him out.

2 games
48 carries, 221 yards, 4.6ypc, 3TDs
14 catches, 86 yards, 2 TDs

You telling me that guy can't be the feature back for a few games?

I’m honestly surprised we didn’t keep riding Murray

Feels like he must’ve flubbed some assignments or something. His production justifies resting Kamara for a stretch run. Something must be behind the scenes.

OK, I can deal with that. I'm officially off of his case as of now. The man is hurt.

Bench him until the playoffs start.
Let him heal up. Murry can carry the load for 3 games

Coach Nick "George Patton" Saban would slap you and call you a coward for suggesting such a thing.

Nothing is on behind the scenes.
Payton plays the best players and ak is better than murray

I was the only one defending kamara last Sunday.
Everyone wanted to trade him, which was laughable
I think everyone agrees Murray should get at least 10 touches bare minimum

Id rather drop another game then have kamara play at whatever % he playing at now. We played great offensively last week and he was a non factor except for
the fumble.

I think you can make a pretty good argument that our best chance moving forward is to rest everyone that needs rest even though that means we will have a tougher path through the playoffs.

If his injury is truly the reason for his play recently then I'm pissed we haven't sat him more. If the reason for his play is not the injury then I'm pissed and very concerned that he's regressed so much.

So either way, I'm pissed.

I agree with all of this. Payton needs to step in and make the right decision. I respect players wanting to play through injury, so its on the coach to make the rational decision.

High sprains are particularly detrimental to the style of play that is Kamara’s. It destroys lateral movement which is his game. It shows when he plays

Right, which means Saints Talk in general has grossly overreacted with all the harsh stuff they've said about AK.

One thing about ST is that many are quick to turn on any player. They are so reactionary that they never stop to see the irrationality in their beliefs. Just go back and see all the Brees sucks, our draft sucks, Ingram sucks, etc, etc, etc

This place has some good posters, which is the only reason I still stick around; however, it is dominated with bad posters, which is why I am nowhere near as active on here as I once was. It's exhausting and embarrassing seeing these insane reactions
