re: Jeremiyah Love vs top NFL RBs

1. Jeremiyah Love, Notre Dame Fighting Irish
Big board rank: 6
Love is a future impact back at the NFL level. He checks every athletic box: speed, burst, agility and change-of-direction and pairs it with sharp footwork and natural receiving ability.
2. Jonah Coleman, Washington Huskies
Big board rank: 56
Coleman has an NFL build and outstanding rushing grades over the first three years of his college career. At over 225 pounds, he runs with good power and balance to gain yards after contact, yet shows surprising foot quickness and lateral agility for his size.
3. Jadarian Price, Notre Dame Fighting Irish
Big board rank: 65
Analysis Coming soon!
4. Kaytron Allen, Penn State Nittany Lions
Big board rank: 131
If you view Allen through the lens of a power back, there's a lot to like. He converts speed to power well and uses a strong leg drive to fight through arm tackles, making him effective in short-yardage situations
5. Demond Claiborne, Wake Forest Demon Deacons
Big board rank: 133
As a smaller back, Claiborne can cover ground quickly when he sees daylight and can be a home run threat if he gets to the edge. However, Wake Forest's long mesh RPO scheme makes it difficult to fully evaluate his vision in man or gap concepts
6. CJ Baxter, Texas Longhorns
Big board rank: 142
Baxter has the build and athletic traits of a future NFL contributor. However, there's limited film to evaluat
7. Justice Haynes, Michigan Wolverines
Big board rank: 143
Haynes easily passes the off-the-bus test for an NFL running back, with solid size and a well-developed frame. He has the body type to lower his shoulder and run through contact, supported by a decent yards-after-contact per attempt average.
PFF
But this still seems the case as to tiers.

I can already sense the draft night meltdown when we pass on Delane
Posted on 2/3/26 at 3:34 pm to Lester Earl
I hear he is a head case and cannot learn a playbook.
Hard pass,
Hard pass,

We are going to pass on several great players.
Melt will be (on) regardless lol

Coming around to Love. His vision and elusiveness is ridiculous. He would open up a lot for the offense.

I don’t believe you. He seems like a good young man, he’s just an introvert

Aaron Glenn Posted by RazzleDazzle on 1/8/25 at 4:03 pm I am hearing this is close to being done. He has agreed to Loomis's request to retain Kubiac, Rizzi, and a few others. I hope I am wrong this will be a disaster.
The same guy that gave him this

The top CB and WR in a class will go around pick 10
Exactly my point. You shouldn’t reach for them just because they are ranked 1st at the position.
Picking someone at #8 who is projected #10 is not a reach, especially if you have certain position needs. You are also taking about the #10 pick in a 3 QB draft compared to the #8 pick in a 1 QB draft. That math adds up.
I'll trust NFL scout teams/ FO decision making > loosely interpreted projections. Excluding the Browns.
We shouldn't take a WR at 8. If its offense then it has to be Love.
I'm almost certain that #8 will be used to replace one of our (4) nearly retired defensive starters or the FA #1 CB. That's kind of more important than a RB.
If we make upgrades to the OL then a RB would be more of a luxury and not a need. Defense is a bigger need.

Would he be another guy who quits football to go climb the Himalayas and smoke kush?

Kamara
Washed. What exactly has he shown you the past 2 seasons to think different? He has fallen off the RB cliff. I he does any fricking thing noteworthy this season color me shocked.

Why are you just ignoring his 2024 950 yard, 6 td rushing; 550 TD 2 TD receiving?
He was injured this year in a freak accident where the defender drug him down from behind and the OLine was absolute shite all year

I went and looked up offenses where Kellen Moore was the OC
4 years with Dallas
1 with the Chargers
1 with the Eagles
I was looking for the RB who led the team in receptions
I did not find an overwhelming performance by any of the backs catching the ball.
I keep seeing Love being mocked to the Saints and trying to connect the dots as to how to he'd fit with what the Saints run.
While Love is very talented, would he be utilized a lot in the passing game? I guess he'd split with Alvin and Alvin could mentor him a somewhat like Ingram did for him?
but anyway,
2019 Cowboys - Zeke Elliot- 34-420-2
2020 Cowboys - Zeke- 52-338-2
2021 Cowboys- Zeke- 47-287-2
2022 Cowboys- Tony Pollard- 39-371-3
2023 Chargers- Austin Eckler- 51-436-1
2024 Eagles- Saquon Barkley- 33-271-2
2025 Saints- Alvin Kamara- 33-186-0
don't know if Kellen was the main play caller in Dallas or not to be fair.
if anyone knows please say otherwise.

No he’s autistic not a pot head. I consume a lot of ND content, and in his time there have seen nothing but great things about him. He is a solid kid with a great head on his shoulders and family support system. He would be a fan favorite, especially if Kamara embraces the old mentor role with him.

Idk AK is ancient in RB years. Father Time is undefeated.

Kamara was like 7 yards shy of a 1500 scrimmage yard season in 2024. You may want to edit your statement to "last season".
Posted on 2/4/26 at 9:00 am to Chadzilla
Career high in touches in 2024, but yielded his 4th best yards from scrimmage season. 5th best yards per touch season. Good season but Kamara’s calling card was always efficiency. Like Cam and Demario, these guys’ shelf life are close to expiration. At some point we jeee to embrace the new era
Posted on 2/4/26 at 9:24 am to GynoSandberg
Kamara is essentially done. He may have a role for another year or two in the league but that is likely it.
I'm all aboard the Love train. If not him then give me a big play WR.
And do it again in the 2nd round. We need weapons desperately.

Need a pass rusher in one of the top few rounds. I’d rather get one playmaker and sign another in FA. Even another starting caliber TE would open up a lot for Shough.
