I've been outspoken in the past about Reggie's value to this offense, and have defended his salary against others who complained he never lived up to their expectations that they put on him. I think Bush is an ultra unique weapon for Payton & Brees to have. His role cannot easily replaced, imo.

However, Reggie did not show the same explosiveness & electricity in the passing game for multiple games status-post his injury. He looked like a camp body at times. Curious to see if this plays any part in why we are potentially trading him.

For the most part, they don't seem too happy

No they really don't. Some like it but most of them think its stupid. Maybe a change of scenery will be what reggie needs.

I love getting woken up to the news Reggie Bush was traded to Miami (allegedly)

What would be an appropriate salary in your opinion for a 2nd/3rd string RB who had 152 yards rushing last season?

if the best we can get is a 4th round (or lower) pick, I'd keep him. I'd think about a 3rd round pick. Would definitely trade him for a 2d round pick, or for a LB. But I'm thinking we're going to be disappointed and it's going to be a 4th round pick or even worse.

The entire idea before was to cut him, so getting a 4th rounder is just extra.

It's not about what draft pick we get in this trade, it's about clearing up cap space and being able to use all that money on other players.

I guess it'll all boil down to whether Reggie wants to stay here and have a solid chance at another Super Bowl ring or go to Miami for more money.

Seriously? Have you even watched him? He was hurt basically all of last season and was more of a liability than anything when he was on the field, not to mention he hasn't exactly set the world on fire his first 5 years in the league.

A 4th rounder at this point I'd jump all over it.

FWIW I have no issue with Reggie and would like him to stay at a much reduced salary. I'm just calling it like it is.

Sounds like this one could be true. If so, i am saying the Fins offered 2 mil more and some guaranteed money. If true, time to move on. What ya gonna do? Go Saints!!

Not surprising that he might go to Miami, just didn't think they would give us anything for him.

My first thought is we would have a beast backfield with Ingram and Reggie, I would have loved to have seen that.

The saints should get Miami to pay part of the guaranteed money we owe him in the deal

I highly doubt that not the type of runner to have 1000 yds in the NFL.

Reggie's agent must have gotten word they won't be receiving much on the open market because I wouldn't get him taking this deal otherwise.

gotta think its a decent pick we are getting, if that is indeed what we are getting, because I don't think they would need to sleep on it if it were like a 6th rounder

The Arizona playoff game was sublime. So was the MInny MNF game.

If he could have stayed healthy and done that a handful of times a year, he'd be one of highest paid players in the league for a long time.
