Yeah, it seems like the wr's I've seen people talk about the last little while here are all redundant to what we already have.

In the Payton era have the Saints ever signed a high dollar WR FA?
Honestly do not see the reason to do so now. We do not need to invest huge money in someone like Landry.

I bet we Would get a hometown discount. Landry is extremely loyal.

Still too many other needs to spend that kind of money on a WR - I trust the Saints to find a cheaper alternative either through FA or draft.

I don’t get the obsession w Landry. Bc he went to LSU? Receptions? He’s the type of guy a bad team plays a lot of money to. He’s a “piece” but not a premier guy

He just became the first player ever with 100+ catches to not hit 1k yards

We’d still probably have to pay over $10M/yr which is way too much for a no.2 WR. We need to continue to improve the defense. Be honest, many of you want them to pay him a shite ton of money to get him just because he played for LSU.

No, we want him b/c he has found a way to catch 100+ balls with Ryan TAnnehil and Jay fricking Culter throwing him passes.

His blocking, route running, and hands are all elite.

He is the perfect upgrade to Ginn as our number 2.

We don't need a burner. Drew's arm isn't getting stronger. We need someone who can run a perfect route and catch the god damn ball when its in his face on his break.
That's Jarvis Landry. Who yes, just so happened to play for that state school with players on every other team in the league.

Elite would be a top 5 WR. He’s not a top 5 WR. I do think he’s a pretty good WR and would be very solid addition to the team. BUT he’s going to be asking at least $10M/yr which is WAY too much for a guy who will be a no.2 WR and so probably won’t even have more than 1100 yards.

Again the key point is he isn’t worth the money. You guys are also talking about Suh and Ansah and others. What makes you think we can sign even one of them plus Landry and whoever else we have to resign like Brees. WE NEED DEFENSE.

I have no problem with LSU fans wanting him but wanting him at the price he will be asking for is too much considering we have other more pressing needs.

Yeah give me paul richardson or burton at half the price.
Just wish their was another tight end out there besides burton who was a sure thing.
We need a stud tight end in the worst way.
We are going to have to draft one cause their isnt one out there.

This was just 2 years ago. Who is to say Snead can't regain this form with a normal offseason.

He will cost 1/4th of what Landry will and we can spend that money on an actual need.

Albert Wilson will cost much less

quote:

Albert Wilson (4.43 speed) is a sneaky valuable free agent WR. Stats below from 2017:
2nd in the NFL with 5.0 YAC/Target, per @rotounderworld
3rd in the NFL with 15 missed tackles forced, per @PFF
4th in the NFL with a 72.4% contested catch conversion rate, per @rotounderworld

Jordan Matthews, accomplished slot WR. Will cost much less

*found a way to catch 100 balls while being targeted 160x. You realize that isn't difficult, right?

Coby Fleener and Brandon Coleman had more 20 yard plays this year despite catching 85 less balls.

ELITE!!!!

I'd rather spend 5-6million dollars a yr cheaper on sammy watkins!!! Especially if his starting bid is 14.5yr sssseeessh we have to pay a Top De b4 we shoot our sticks at landry! If landry takes 11.5 then maybe...

The Snead disappearance is still strange as hell to me. Like what happened to the dude?

If Snead plays like he did the previous 2 seasons who knows what the teams potential would’ve been. I think they probably do better than 11-5, but the definitely would’ve been more efficient on 3rd down. We don’t even have a Landry discussion if he plays to his potential.

Would be awesome. Shifty, great hands. Perfect for the slot and drew would target him plenty

We thought he would be rusty coming back but he never for what ever reasons was the same last year.

I think Carr is good enough to make the team so that puts Coleman and Snead on thin ice even before the draft and FA's.

Saints can get a quality wr for less than half of what Landry will get.

This is also some authors top 5 fits and no actual smoke

This is where I’d love to see Drew step up and say—- Give me $18 million guaranteed for 2 more years and put the money I’m saving you towards signing Jarvis.

Drew make this happen and you will get your Super Bowl.
