Not interested apparently. Less than half of what Adams just got?

Wouldn't you guys rather Paul Richardson or marqise Lee?
They'd likely be cheaper and can run more routes than Landry. They also complement Thomas better than Landry.
If this staff can fix Ginn's hands, I'd bank they can do that for Lee.

Richardson would be a great add

Uh....no?
Since Snead went to shite last year our 3rd down conversion rate plummeted from its usual 1-3 in the league to about 17th IIRC. That's no coincidence. Landry is a slot machine and he'd be a perfect fit as a mainstay with Thomas.
There's probably 3 more wins on our schedule had we simply converted a 3/4 and short. Atlanta, Tampa, and in the playoffs at Minnesota. We very easily could have lost to the Panthers in the playoffs not converting twice on our last drive. We couldn't do that without Snead playing well or a go to TE like Graham/Watson.

Landry at 11-12
Lee or richardson at 7-8
Burton at 5-6
Im not denying that Landry isn't an amazing slot receiver, but if the cost is as substantial as what he's asking than he isn't worth it. I think Richardson can help 3rd down by opening things up for kamara, Ingram, and Thomas.
He can also help you open things up for them on 1st and 2nd down.

that's cool but really wanted Jimmy back or a tightend that is not made of glass.

You know he holds rookie records right? He is a stud. frick off, bitch.

Fleener got 7.2 million a few years ago. You think Landry a few years later is going to sign at 7 million to 9 million.
I think a 3 yr. 33 million deal with 15 million being guaranteed is a good price.
I'd rather have Landy at 11 million to 14 million than Fleener and some other 6 million dollar receiver.

But no one is saying we are interested. I mean I’m sure they are somewhat but they aren’t paying this dude 12 mil+
This is just some speculation from a site I’ve never heard of

i dont dislike Landry at all. But there are cheaper options that will do the same thing or very similar. We are not in position to add money to the WR position Especially considering they just traded Cooks' great contract, among other reasons .

Three things immediately came to mind after seeing this post:
1. Historically-speaking, the slot WR is very important in this offense. Saints slot WRs typically get over 1,000 receiving yards a year (not 2017, sure, but historically yes). Just as having an above-average RB who can play the "joker" enhances this offense, so does an above-average slot WR.
2. Speaking of above-average, both Juice and Michael Thomas are at the top of the league in catch percentage/target conversion. Couple that w/ a QB who completes 65-70% of his passes...perhaps that helps mitigate the average to below-average TE play (which, honestly, has historically been the case outside of some of Shockey's time and Graham, of course).
3. If the Saints are actually going to have an LSU player on its roster, might as go for one of the best in the league.

Spend the money and get Brees every weapon conceivable for the final 2-3 year push. I'm all for this.
Agreed. The below-average 3rd round conversion percentage wasn't a failure of scheme, but of personnel. A premium slot WR who is a precise route runner, is physical, a savage run blocker and has a 70+ percentage catch rate should do much to fix that specific problem.
Also, I agree that the Saints shouldn't expect him to offer a home-town discount, but I would expect him to consider a "I'll take a bit below market to win a championship instead of breaking the bank to lose 10-16 games a year in Cleveland" discount.

Well, yeah, but I'm talking about FAs. If the Falcons are down with cutting Debo so we can sign him, I'm all for it!

Tranny, you’re spot on here
Michael Thomas is already one of the best slot WR in the league. Fresh off leading the league in slot yards per route run. SP will not pony up for a Landry when he has a Thomas and even a Snead. And the RBs. We have enough intermediate pass catchers to wet Brees’ beak
Spend money on a guy who can get up the seam at TE or a more vertical WR threat who’s more versatile than Ginn.
I would buy a trey burton before a Landry
