Jameis Winston left practice early. Andy Dalton took over his reps in 11-on-11 work afterward. Not sure what happened. Dennis Allen talks shortly.

Dennis Allen specified a little more on the NFL Network just note about Jameis Winston, said he "rolled his ankle" but didn't say much more

Let's hope its just nothing. Foot injuries are notoriously difficult to heal.

really no details yet

ETA it appears to be a non contact injury, seeing a lot of tweets that no one saw anything happen

@Kat_Terrell

There were no live updates today since practice moved inside. Most people on the sideline didn't even notice Winston leave. They had a run-focused period of 11-on-11 then when they came back to do red zone, Dalton was taking the reps.

I was at training camp today before lightning ended it… Jameis was definitely limping but I thought it was his knee. Not sure if it was his foot bothering him or if he injured his foot later on inside.

Any news on if this happened indoors or in the rain? Allen deliberately moved the team outside to practice in the rain after starting practice indoors. Seems like a dumbass move especially if it could have resulted in a non-contact injury on a sloppy surface.
I get needing to know how to play in the rain but...

We’ve received some clarification from the Saints that said Jameis Winston is dealing with a foot injury, and not an ankle injury as Dennis Allen said to @SlaterNFL

Well you can already tell Allen has learned certain things from Payton.

Jameis hurts his foot, Allen says he rolled his ankle.

Ankle certainly would have been better than foot in most cases.
