I'm not saying Jameis will take us to the promised land but you're so far off base6its ridiculous.

What is so off base about saying one would rather have 20 QB's in the league right now over Jameis?

In no particular order and off the top of my head, I'd rather Josh Allen, Dak Prescott, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Lamar Jackson, Joe Burrow, Baker Mayfield, Aaron Rodgers, Kirk Cousins, Ryan Tannehill, Matt Ryan, Tom Brady, Patrick Mahomes, Derek Carr, Justin Herbert, Kyler Murray, Matthew Stafford and Russell Wilson. That's 16 quarterbacks - not including rookies I'd rather. If we're talking rookies I'd take all of Trevor Lawrence, Zach Wilson, Trey Lance, Justin Fields and Mac Jones over Jameis.

I cannot wait to come here doing the season when Winston is wining us a bunch of games. You guys think you know more about QB than coach, GTFO. He would not be hitching his wagon to Winston unless he sees potential.
I will be the first to troll u wanna be armchair QB.

I really wish he would change his number and/or the Saints would ban any QB from wearing #2. Every time I see #2 in the black on black uniforms I am reminded of Aaron Brooks.

Let's make a small wager that Winston outperforms at least one of the QBs on your list. Say $100? Should be an easy bet for you to make since you don't believe in him.

Of that list, how many were available to the Saints.

Fitz is the only vet on that list I think the team had a legit shot at, and he came with a $10M price tag while being almost 40.

All of the rookies went in the top 1/2 of the draft. Would have taken too many assets to go get.

Stafford costs a starting QB, and a future 1st & 3rd, and $20M on the cap. Saints didn't have a starting QB to throw in, so looking at multiple firsts.

Winston cost the team no assets, has a $2.5M cap hit and if he does well can easily become the future (only 27). If not, the team has a $3M cap hit next year and would be in a prime spot to get a QB (Plus the rumors this year were Wilson could be on the trade market in '22)

Irrelevant. He scoffed at someone saying they'd take 20 QBs over Jameis, and several people in this thread have provided a list of QBs that they'd rather.

Let's not move the goalposts and change the context of the post I replied to.

Yes, cause we should be going after quarterbacks by how much of a bargain they are financially. That's probably a great way to build a dynasty.

When your team is up against the cap the next 2 years, you take chances w players willing to play in cheap contracts in key spots. Otherwise, you’ll be gutting your team to have a stud QB
