I'll be honest, I don't care for a black QB, but I see this as a plus for this team at the moment. With the way things unfolded last year, being black is a positive in this team right now

On the P. Manning comparison, come back in ten years and let’s put the stats up. Winston is no P. Manning. We probably shouldn’t wait 10 years cause I’d bet Winston is out of the league or completely irrelevant in less than 7 years.

For the 20 better QBs, I could probably do it off the top my head but I’m a six pack in and don’t feel like wasting my time. There are easily 17 starters on other teams better than Winston and I’d take at least three rookies over Winston. Easily 20 better than Winston.

To the guy that keeps bringing up that Winston is black, you’re an idiot and a racist. This has nothing to do with race.

Like I’ve said at least 20 times on this board, I WILL come back and eat crow if I’m wrong on Winston but I’m that confident that I’m not.

This is such a perfect opportunity for both Payton and Winston. If Winston revitalizes his career and looks like a former 1st pick, it makes Payton look like a damn genius. He'll go down in history as THE Qb whisperer

Jameis currently at 60-1 to win the NFL MVP. Ill take a $100 flyer on that, plz.

Who is the first one? Brees? San Diego probably wins the super bowl that year if they pull Brees before that meaningless possession where he destroys his shoulder.

eta: my bad. was thinking about the year before. dude was well on his way to being a stud. 9-7 after a 12-4 year and a devastating playoff loss is to be understood.

Last team that got off that Winston train are SUPERBOWL CHAMPS.

By bringing in tGOAT.

Winston's starts have been posted here up against Brees first 4 years and they are very similar. I'm not saying he'll have a Brees like career, but there's opportunity for him to improve with Payton and his system. And he doesn't need to be Brees. Just better than he, Jameis, has been.

I would Love it if our QB wasn’t a rapist.

If He ends up being good I’ll be pretty conflicted.

Jameis in the Saints offensive system will be tremendous this year! However, I am worried about Saints defensive backfield!

I swear on everything I laughed 5 minutes straight after reading your comment. What can he do thatother NFL QBs can't do? Just remember when he was a free agent that no team offered qb1 $. That's not my opinion that is 100%a fact. He isn't even a top 25 qb! Yes he had a shite load passing yards but most of them where when they were down 3rd because of 3 int in 1st half. The same Saints fan praising him where the same fans bashing him when he was in TB. The black and gold doesn't make him a better player. I prey he leads us to the Super Bowl but Im realisti.Just remember SP picked Hill over him and in 2020 he was our 3rd string qb.

No. There are just very few Warren Moons. It's nothing to do with skin color. I know it came out racist but whatever. Russell Wilson is damn good. Michael Vick was a game changer. Aaron Brooks was great at times but his smiling after INTs was what turned everyone off. I'm hoping Jameis is great. His arm talent is through the roof. He can throw 50yds off his back foot. His accuracy is decent. I can live with 15 INTs in this offense because he should throw for 30 TDs.

Exactly. The guy couldn’t make the playoffs once five years in Tampa Bay. “But but But he has had a year under Drew Brees.” Yeah so have a bunch of other bum QBs.

Thinking a young QB can’t get better is quite the hill to die on

If you think that I was insinuating he’s the next Peyton manning

Yeah I just kinda backed away after your reply...

Lets just say there are some "passionate" crab legs supporters here.

The melt will be glorious
