Would he be more inspired coming back home? I've always rooted for the guy. Jaguars organization sucks.

The jags are getting rid of the shitheads that coughlin stacked that team with. Fournette was one of them.

No he is probably going to want to get paid. We might as well keep Kamara if we plan on paying a running back

Do not want. He’s probably better off somewhere other than Louisiana anyway.

For all the hype he’s really just a guy in the NFL. He’s a dime a dozen power back which the NFL has in bunches but he could be better if he really wanted to. I he will want to be paid like a top RB but I wouldn’t give him more than 4 years $24 million with $19 million guaranteed. That’s $6 million per year, more than Mark Ingram earns who is a better player than Fournette.

Come on man Jacksonville’s oline has been subpar since the man was drafted. Give him a line like the 49ers/ Ravens/Saints and you’d see one hell of a season from Fournette ( if he could stay on the field).

No real point when you have a proven power back in Murray who needs more touches anyway.

This will probably only remain true for one more year.

PFF has the Jags oline ranked at 26th in the league. NO was at 5th. Also, their offense was predictable and run by a rookie QB. If he didnt cost too much, he'd be an excellent counterpunch to AK. And any rumors coming out of the Jaguar's organization should be taken with a grain of salt. They ran that poor guy right into 8-9 man boxes 268 times his rookie year, then got antsy when he got hurt. In a Payton offense he could be a terror. I mean, imagine what he could have done playing at LSU in 2019.

You don't pay top dollar for RB anymore it is a bad investment.

I never understood the critics of fournette’s play. Like people have mentioned, the jags built a team to be a power running team but didn’t build an offensive line. You could bring Barry sanders back and he couldn’t run behind that line. Fournette has been a disaster attitude wise there and has made some very boneheaded decisions. As an LSU fan you can’t even defend it. But the talent is unreal and it always has been. Get the man an oline and he would be dynamic. His combination of speed and power is a nightmare in the open field.

I’m not disagreeing with this but he was a top 10 rusher and i think he is going to want around 12 a year if not more. He also gets hurt alot. If we going to pay him that then we might as well just pay Kamara top money and keep him instead bc he is a more dynamic back.

I agree I was just making a point. Fournette is going to want to get paid so you might as well pay Kamara instead if you are willing to make that investment. However I agree that I wouldn’t resign either.

He obviously won’t be asking for or getting 12/year. He will be seeking Melvin Gordon money (8 per)
