Is this year the easiest path for us to get to super bowl?

I might get downvoted but this is just the way I see it. We match up with Tampa bay great because our D line and Marshawn lattimore locking their best wr up all game.
Seattle has a pretty average below average defense.
Packers same as well.
Rams have a pretty good defense. They can get pressure consistently. They have enough Offense I think to keep it close. But I mean Rn that’s the only team I could see having issues with at the moment they would be the team to beat us imo. Now you never know with playoffs and momentum but I feel pretty confident that’s the case.
I feel as this is the Saints best opportunity in this window time period.
2017 had to deal with magical season eagles
2018 choke job but the rams were a good team.
2019 felt like anyone could beat anyone it was a matter of who got hot and the saints were cold.
2020 I feel like it is the saints year, because of the easier path. Does anyone see this like that? I mean the only team that matchups with us decently is the rams in my eyes.
What do y’all think?
Sorry for the length of post.

Simple. Stay healthy (especially on the lines). Drew comes back to where he was. CSP can't get cute with the playcalling. Do those 3 things and you should be in the super bowl, especially if you dont have to go play a NFCCG in Lambeau.

Oh - and the refs can't screw us.

Agreed, this is the year to do it.

Previous years, nearly each playoff team had arguably an even shot.

Philly/Minnesota - both legit teams, but philly was not losing that year. we would also be down armstead/peat going into the NFC championship
LA Rams - was a top 2 NFC team
Minnesota/Green Bay/San Fran - all 3 were legitimate teams, we were great but so were they. Minnesota has a team "anytime anywhere" build to them, so it was an upset but wasn't improbable like losing to 7-9 seahawks.

This year, at full strength nobody is our equal. In previous years (SF, LA Rams, Philly), you could say they were.

This is it, weeks 12-16 have been awful for us the past 5 years or so.

ETA: As far as players health is concerned

yes. no one is elite. Seattle, GB, Tampa, Rams - all very good teams. At this time, we have better players than the teams we will be playing against. that’s always a good thing.

There's no such thing as an easy path to the SB. 2018 we all thought we had it, we already beat the brakes off the Rams in the regular season. 2011 the Packers got upset but we couldn't stop the 49ers from running the field with no timeouts under 2 minutes so we missed out on blowing the Giants brains out in the superdome.

Other than the NFCE rep, any team in the NFCW could get hot and beat us especially the Rams because they have a great DL that gets pressure just rushing 4 and a CB duo in Ramsey/Hill that can play man. Packers have already beat us but has also looked like shite some weeks, it just depends on what kind of day it is for them. Bucs I just don't think can match up with us. But make no mistake we will be challenged in the postseason, and we're going to have to answer the call for once.

As tough as any year. Kyler and russ can beat anyone if they are on. Rams are really good and well coached.

The Saints will always be the biggest hurdle in the Saints path to the super bowl.

I think the key has to be getting the #1 seed and letting the Packers/Seahawks battle it out in the NFC Divisional round. I feel like having to go through both would be tough.

Brees has to comeback and be effective, can't play the Falcons every week. The Falcons won't make the playoffs.

If we get that first round bye, yes.

Everyone else would have to play one more game.

Kind of unfair, but rules are rules.

meh... the addition of Alexander, to pair with Davis, shored up our 2nd level defensive lineup... our DL is already the best in the league, and Lattimore plays best vs. good competition (ask Mike Evans)
