Rosen

I know I'm in the minority here but I actually Rosen has a shot at being a decent NFL QB, I'm not suggesting great but I think he could be Andy Dalton like. He's been on 2 shitty teams 2 years in a row, let alone it being his first 2 years in the league learning 2 new HCs/OCs and playbooks. I wouldn't mind having him as a backup/compete for starter opposite whomever

teams with a qb need and salary cap space will pay it, but they probably won't commit more than 2.5 years of guaranteed monies at most.

If you disagree with me, please name the team/s you think who would pay Teddy over $20 mill or higher per year
Tampa
SD
NE(if Brady isn't there next season)

That's 3 just off the top of my head that would be without a QB and not in a complete rebuild and looking to compete.

Carolina as well but I imagine they'll go with Cam over Teddy.

There will need to be a few more QB dominoes to fall if TB is going to get a huge deal. Otherwise I can see him coming back here on another 1 year deal and then reassess the market next offseason

I don't know much about him other than being the 10th pick, then getting traded the next year. Is he the type that could flourish under SP's system?

I could see New England going with Dalton before Teddy

I agree with everything you say except:

quote:

he will probably get somewhere in the $18-22M range

He's getting closer to 30, in the 25-30/yr range. He will most certainly be paid more than Flacco, who is currently at 22mill.

Chicago
San Diego
Indy
Pitt
Tampa- depending on what they do with Jameis

I think Pitt should Ben to the curb. Teddy would do well there and play for a good frnachise

I wouldn’t be surprised. I think 18-22 is probably the floor and 30-32 is the ceiling. 24-28 is probably a safe bet.

Scenario 1) Teams that need a starting QB without one on the current roster: Tampa, Carolina & San Diego.

This makes sense.

Scenario 2) Teams that may draft a QB, but need a starter at the moment: Miami, San Diego, Cincinnati & Denver.

Teddy will his history is going to want at least a two year deal. Anyone taking a QB will only need a 1 year band aid.

Scenario 3) Teams that have questions at QB and could bring a QB in to compete as a starter: Chicago, Washington, Cleveland, Indianapolis & Jacksonville.

Indy is the only one that makes sense. Each of the others have bought in on a new QB last year and Chicago is riding with Mitch.

Scenario 4) Teams with free agent or aging QBs who may be looking to move on to another QB: New England, Pittsburgh, Detroit & Tennessee.

Tenn will resign their QB they will be afraid not to. Detroit doesn't make sense.

If he gets 20 it will be for 4 years max, imo, but fully guaranteed. Cousins set what could be a precedent for this situation.

My guess is 3 year, 54 million

Have you seen the list of qbs that make more than 20 mil per year? Bridge deserves his 20+ mil according to that list.

Yes, he'll get $20+ million a season. While there are a lot of quarterbacks hitting free agency most of them are old and borderline washed up. Teddy isn't even 30 yet.

Bottom or top of a barrel, it’s downright shameful that anyone with this resume/skill set, responsibility and impact on society has an opportunity to make that much money. That’s more than the salary of every governor and the president of the United States combined.

Capitalism allows middle class Americans to live in greater luxury today than the wealthiest kings throughout history.
