He looks kinda small. Is he one of those small dudes with a big package type deals?

Serious inquiries only.

Pro football focus:
12. New Orleans Saints: Sheldon Rankins | Grade: A We expected defense to be a focal point for the Saints and they take one of the best interior defensive linemen in the draft in Rankins. He’s versatile enough to play all over the defensive front, whether heads up on offensive linemen or shooting gaps to disrupt the backfield. He posted the No. 3 overall grade in the nation in 2014, behind Henry Anderson and Grady Jarrett, and he was one of the best in the nation in 2015 as well before he slowed down late in the season. Rankins is next in the line of “undersized” defensive tackles that will produce at the next level and he adds a much-needed disruptive presence to the Saints’ defensive front.

Yes only 6'1 and that's generous. He's a bowling ball that will get pushed around at next level

Yes he is. He won't be half the player Sedrick Eli's was. And that's scary

The Saints had to find pass-rush help in the draft, and they landed perhaps the best interior disruptor available. Rankins (6'1/299) made 29 starts in four seasons at Louisville, compiling 31.5 career tackles for loss and 18 sacks. He turned in a strong Combine workout, running 5.03 with a 34 1/2-inch vertical and 28 bench-press reps. An explosive gap shooter with power and a strong base for run defense, Rankins is a complete defensive tackle despite a shortage of height and body mass. Compared to Kawann Short by Rotoworld's Josh Norris, Rankins should make an immediate impact, either at one or three technique---Rotoworld

Yeah because 2 inches makes a huge difference in the nfl, much more than actually having talent.

And yes that is sarcasm. The guy will be great. The undersized shite is way overblown. He isn't 5'9".

about the same size as Warren Sapp.

not quite as fast straight line, but about as explosive with similar change of direction
