Sheldon Rankins is too small now?

Funny because I know this DT in St. Louis by the name of Aaron Donald who is 6'0 and not even 290 lbs.

The scoop and score is all he really has as a highlight. It doesn't impress me enough. I've watched so much film on this guy. I like his motor but he isn't a specimen.

Aaron Donald is the best DT in the league and he's 6'1" 290lbs.

Yeah, I mentioned it b/c that's what Brandt said.

He said it was an excellent pick for the Saints, FWIW, as did Kirwan.

They can't all be "a specimen".

Safe solid pick

Id rather him than a backer with one leg, or a DT with off field and health issues.

Takes two to trade, Saints took damn near the whole time limit to pick him. So no deal could be made apoarently

He's bigger than Donald, actually, and produced at an elite level. Didn't want to go to the draft because he wanted to focus on football and not all the bs. Team captain.

Again, he's 300 lbs, not 275.

Critical thinking skills. I know it's difficult for you. If someone says that a player is too undersized to play a position then pointing out a player who is the same size or a little smaller that has success in the league demonstrates that it is a bogus criticism. That is the point. I know it's easier to throw out straw men arguments, but maybe one day you will learn how to have an actual discussion.

You all comparing Rankins to Aaron Donald are funny. Donald ran a 4.6 forty.

Can he be as good as Donald? Maybe. But the skill sets are not the same.

Edit: Damn Lester beat me to it.

I'm praying he's more like Donald/Glover but reality is, theres a higher probability he's more like Sed Ellis. He'll probably between in between said two.
