Former Alabama Heisman Trophy running back Mark Ingram worked out at Florida Atlantic on Tuesday with Kiffin and other members of the FAU coaching staff as Ingram prepares to return to the New Orleans Saints in a couple of weeks following his four-game suspension for violating the NFL's policy on performance-enhancing drugs.

During Ingram's suspension, he's not allowed to visit the Saints' practice facilities.

"He wasn't allowed to practice with our team because of the new NCAA rules against that, but when we were done, we padded him up and put him through a workout, me and [FAU running backs coach] Kevin Smith," Kiffin told ESPN. "He got after it and wants to make sure he's ready to go and in football shape when he gets back with the Saints.

I don’t care what anybody says, I miss him and the team misses him.

I can’t wait to have him back.

I can't wait to see him pound it up the middle on 3rd and short instead of Drew dropping back and getting sacked

As each day comes and goes, the more I want to resign Ingram. IDC if he's a RB, and IDC if he's about to be 30, we all can see how much he's missed on this team. You can't replace what he does.

Ingram has less total carries in his career than Le'Veon Bell has. I believe that age is a factor but I also believe that usage plays a role too and he has plenty of tread left. We should definitely resign him.

I think about him each time I see Gillislee get 1 yard on a carry and go down on 1st contact.

I'm ready fit him to get back but he screwed the team being out these games. We win the Tampa game easily with him.

Kamara isnt fully kamara till ingram is there and vice versa.

bullshite. Both are well above average backs to borderline elite backs, but with each other they are both undisputedly elite backs.

Is that why he's currently averaging half the YPC he had last year?
