This. Anzalone needed a fresh start somewhere else too. It was an impressive class for sure. Don’t forget it included a DROY and OROY as well. And an All Pro LT.

Trey Hendrickson is one of the worst run defending ends in the league. Davenport is a much more complete player than him. I would take Trey over Turner obviously.

Davenport is a hell of a player…when healthy. And that’s the rub. I’d rather have Hendrickson to rush the passer and rotate him with a run stuffing DE than have some third stringer because Davenport and Turner are both injured.

He started in the Super Bowl and they didn’t run like crazy. Even so, doesn’t matter, it’s a passing league. Worth the money if you can put pressure.

We literally almost lost this past game because we couldn't stop the run.
as good as an elite pass rusher is, a team full of weak run defenders will get curbstomped.

Anzalone couldn't stay heathy and we couldn't pay Williams and Hendrickson.
