Notice how Payton hasn't uttered a word about Teddy Bilgewater after the season ended? Two-gloves will be taking his talents to South Beach.

If Payton thinks he can then I’ll definitely take his word over yours.

Taysom is as good as Lamar Jackson throwing.

I think it can work
AS an NFL starter he can't afford to bang hard running all the time. You'd see him playing more gingerly than you're used to.

well thats exactly what we will get after tendering taysom a first round offer

any team who signs him we get a choice to match or get that teams 1st round pick as compensation

you should learn what you are talking about

There is not a team out there that will sign him knowing they have to give up a 1st round pick.

at one point in time Drew, Tom and even Peyton lacked experience.

yeah, but they weren't going on 30 before they got that experience.... the same cannot be said about Hill... how long you figure we give him to get up to speed on being a starting QB in the NFL? 2 years? 3? so by the time he's 33 fricking years old, he'll finally be around the same level as guys who are 24 or 25.... that gives us another drastically small window to achieve success, and unlike with Brees, there's not much certainty that it will be a "window" in the 1st place.... the learning curve would have to be STEEP as frick for Hill, for us to maximize the current window....

IMO, that ship, Hill being a starting QB in the NFL, has sailed.... he's just too old, at this point, to be a new starting QB...

I actually reallY like tAYSOM In his role. I think he will fail as QB1. Load the box, make him throw.

Taysom has the skill and maturity to be a top QB. Keep in mind, we are most likely not going to replace a HOF QB, and with the list available and QB’s to draft with the exception of Burrow and maybe Tua( injuries) I din’t see A better option. Teddy is looking for a long term big money contract. He is not the franchise.

I did have doubts about Hill as the regular No. 1 QB, but the more I watched him, I was more impressed. I’ve seen him make the tough throws( which was one original concern). And we know he’s versatile. He’s
more than the typical “dual threat”..
I’m not sure what you mean by a “franchise quarterback”. Payton seems to think Hillcan run the offense and thrive, and he canbe a team leader. I don’t have a compelling reason to doubt him. Is that enough for a franchise quarterback?

Based on what? He's excelled at every opportunity given. Put him in the QB room full time (he splits meetings now), give him the necessary reps, and he will be starter, if not a franchise QB.

If you truly believe he has a 1 percent chance of being a franchise QB please explain your reasoning so I can get some gud laughs at work
If Sean Payton really believes in him, I value his opinion far more than yours.

Sorry, Teddy B, but there’s a decent chance that your namesake will be long gone in a couple of years.

If Drew retires I hope he starts next year. It will serve 2 purposes and the first will be that everyone here will see he is not a starting QB and the second will be after going 3-13 we would potentially have the first pick and can get Trevor Lawrence.
