I'm happy for him.

Payton will win a few Super Bowls with Herbert.

Saints can ask for 2 first rounders and get them.

They better look to give a lot of shite, because no less than 5 or 6 teams want Payton.

Joe Lombardi is the offensive coordinator there, CSP wouldn’t even have to install the offense, already done

I’ve been predicting this for awhile. This Chargers collapse is massive for us. The Chargers are in AFC so please hire Payton & gives us some picks. This could work out perfect.

If they had fans they'd be rioting if they don't fire him and trade for Payton by mid-week.

That playoff loss was actually pretty par for the course for a playoff heartbreak/choke job for Payton since the superbowl run he’ll fit in well there

It’s not a bidding war in the sense Saints can control where Sean goes, Sean does that.

If the Saints can work out compensation with Sean’s desired team the trade will occur.

Adding more teams into the mix doesn’t necessarily drive up the cost because Sean controls his destiny.

No doubt he should be fired. He has two years remaining on his contract at &4M per year. The Chargers are &10M over the cap going into 2023. All manageable conditions.
The perfect spot for DP. With a top QB, great receivers, solid TE & D, the above foundation is there to be really successful. They have all seven draft picks for 2023 to bolster the lineup. They can easily give up the #1 for SP & not miss it.
On the personal side, I understand his daughter lives in LA
I can’t find a negative for anyone in this move.

Why would anyone be happy for him? frick him. He put the saints in the situation they're in now and when he realized he fricked up, he bailed. I hope he has perennial losses like Chargers just got annually. He'll fit in nicely there with his historic losses with the Saints in playoffs.

Firstly though, they need to fairly compensate us for a washed up coach.

He couldn’t win a few with Brees. What’s makes you think he’ll win a few with Herbert?
