I was at the NO Sports Foundation annual Hall of Honors Luncheon today

The Romig family was inducted today in the Hall of Honors which was well deserved. In her induction speech Gayle Benson called the Romig’s continuously Roming. Mark Roming, Jerry Roming and Jay Roming. At least 10 times. Everybody at my table was laughing how can she continuously mispronounce their name as prominent as the Romig family has been in Saints football history. She has been owner for how many years now and she can get the ROMIG name right. She is a complete scatter brain and has no business owning this team.

I met gayle briefly and took a photo at a game in the food tent by the field.

I’m sorry not this is bs. It has nothing to do with her being a woman or shitting on one of our own. The problem is she comes off as unprepared. If you are going to give a speech, it’s professional courtesy and respect to know how to pronounce someone’s name. If anyone “shite on our own”, it’s Gayle by mispronouncing the last name of a staple of the Saints family
