Stephone was a 100 tackle player. I’m still wondering wtf happened there.
Kikaha and Swann were stricken with injuries.
15 wasn’t a bad draft al all.

The 2017 draft is a freakish outlier and should, in no way, be the standard for Ireland nor anyone else.

If a team knocked every draft out the park, they would be unequivocal favorites every year

Judging a draft 2 days in before anyone plays a down is dumb. You’re better than this I think

Grayson was the one for me. Which is why I'm glad they didn't go QB this year. Just ride drew til he can't go anymore, if we plan on playing another QB, we are fricked either way.

He played 4-3 in college and was drafted to be a 4-3 linebacker in a 4-3 system. He excelled at it. The next year, we switched to the 3-4 and he was never transitioned into his new role properly. It’s not entirely his fault.

The 2015 draft is not a good draft to use as an example for why the Saints may not know more than fans.

The most hated pick that year was Peat.
The most loved pick that year was Anthony.

Drafts have a lot of variance. I don't like this draft, but I also hated Ramczyk pick. Either way, these guys have done a good job, so I don't feel the need to curse like Browns fans when it's clear our guys are professionals.

Didn't we revamp our scouting group after that draft?

That draft looked promising. Kikaha had a good rookie season and then had that unfortunate ACL tear. Peat is a valuable starter. Anthony showed potential and then completely fizzled out in year 2. P.J. and Swann had concussion issues but aren't bad players. Marcus just couldn't hold onto the ball. Davison has played significant time.

Thanks. As I suspected he's tracking active roster only. What I said was active roster OR practice squad.

Just own it dude...WTF? 50% of 7th rounders make the active roster, 70% of 6 rounders and 80% of 5th rounders of which we had 3. We had 5 picks in the last 3 rounds all of which made the roster/practice squad and 3 of which were still on rosters the end of last year, including Davidson who started 31 games in the last 2 years and PJ Williams that played very well for us. I hate to say it, but you are just wrong...

Back to the Future? Besides last year, the Saints have wasted drafts choices over and over for years.
Like the #1 pick - 6'6", 330, 4.58 (Fastest DL) - those measurements are out the box insane. Teach him better techniques and Saints may have a total terror on the edge. Kind of player that can impact games for years!!
