I know it's early, but this Saints Defense looks N-A-S-T-Y

Pump the brakes. We said the same thing about LSU’s defense in the 1st quarter last week

Let it play out

Looks really solid.

Kwon and demario at linebacker with baun and werner backing them up is deep.

If roby comes in and starts hot i really really like this defense.

Adebo is a very smart player. Kanoh pass on the d line has looked good. I think they want to keep cam's snaps down this year.

You do realize we just whipped the piss out of the top team in the NFC last year.

Top to bottom they’re probably the leagues best I mean Aaron Donald and Khalil Mack are maybe better individual players than anyone we have but as a group I mean: which is a better deal

Keep in mind Onyemata will be back next month which will only support this case

the difference is that...

LSUs defense was awful last year and UCLA had a QB who was overthrowing wide open receivers like crazy the week before

The Saints defense was really good last year and the Packers had the #1 offense in the NFL and we had tons of injuries on D.

Defense played great. Very solid pass rush which really helped out the secondary, and this group of linebackers might be the best in the NFL. Kwon and Demario is such an athletic duo and they are incredibly smart players, rarely do you ever see them take a bad angle

Demario may legit be the most underrated player in the NFL.

Guy made the All-Pro team the last 2 years but has never made the pro-bowl

The open field tackling, shutting down plays, was amazing.

Except we have pretty much seen the same defense the last 4 years. What we see is what they are

Just about every aspect of our D was good today! The thing I was most surprised about, especially in week 1 with only 2 preseason games, was the tackling. Sure tackling. Several of GBs 3rd downs were thrown short of the line to gain and sure tackling prevented them from getting the 1st.

Our DT's played the rush well
We got pretty good pressure on Rodgers throughout the game
DB's played smart, kept things in front of them and didn't give up any big plays.
Adebo played smart. I was worried about him being a 3rd round rookie in his first start after sitting out his final year of college and going against the reigning MVP in Rodgers and covering Davante Adams in his first ever NFL game, and boy did he show up today. I hope it's a sign of things to come for him!

frick all you "hold your horses" clowns. We just shut down Aaron Rogers in what amounted to a home game for him. We did this with our top CB in a cast, our top DT suspended, and a fricking rookie CB playing the entire game. We didn't just shut down some chump like Sam Darnold! We held Aaron Jones, Devante Adams and Aaron Rogers to first game of the preseason stats. We gave Rogers his worst loss of his career. Hell, we made Rogers quit like a bitch with TEN frickING MINUTES LEFT IN THE GAME. The fricking GREEN BAY PACKERS did not score a TD on us in 4 quarters.

THIS D IS frickING NASTY!!!!
