He didn't fumble, the guy who had been in all game already fumbled. I like Donaldson, started a thread on him a few weeks ago. Shough has a fricked left hand, had taken some shots already. Donaldson doesn't fumble it's a completely different feel.

I do have a problem with throwing (incomplete to Olave) and the bomb right after. Could have milked good clock on those 2 plays. I also have a problem with our DBs not being able to cover on the deep balls. We hate prevent, then a coach tries to play tighter coverage, and that's what we got.

KM clock management after the fumble was definitely something to be desired, I'll agree with that.

Kellen had balls and went for the kill shot. Shough had an overthrow. Design of play was there. Damn you do damn you don’t

I agree some, play was there. I was more aggravated the pass play before that. I do get going for the kill shot.

I actually didn’t mind those plays either. I took more issue with taking their foot off the gas too early……once they did that, they struggled getting back going again (offense and defense)

This is not college football. Starters stay in games until final snap.

It wasn’t just Rattler. They mentioned 2 offensive linemen that I’ve never heard of, were now in the game. Moore just assumed that the game was over at that point

I don’t either. If someone got hurt, the narrative would be “why was First M. Last” in the game with a 24 point lead and when we had the ball???”

The issue was as much execution as play calls. If we don’t fumble- even if we punt, the whole rest of the game is different. If one of the two passes to Olave are complete - same thing. But there were plenty of odd decisions to examine.

The other issue was if there was ever a time to play prevent, it’s up 24 in the 4th. We played in man and they beat us consistently.

Here is the problem.

We are a 1-4 team. We have a head coach who was recently called out by the owner. We have a head coach that the fans think of as soft and not aggressive.

Up by a few scores in the 4th quarter with a lot of time left, we put in substitutes and started playing conservative. Someone who is on the hot seat like that should be in fight mode. Instead, Moore went conservative. The signal to the fans is that nothing has changed.

Now look at Harbaugh on the other side. When down he pulled his QB and started responding and didn’t quit. Our team didn’t quit, but they got soft.

So from a fans perspective, we got of to a slow start and weren’t aggressive. Same ole same ole and we just barely survived an onslaught from a QB that is terrible and was traded a week ago.

There’s plenty of reasons to not feel good after that game.

I get it, but if McCoy tore his bicep at that point I’m starting a thread bitching about him still being in the game. Same if Shough did more damage to his injured hand

It was over if they run three times,Donaldson doesn't fumble and they punt.

90 more seconds run off and they pin the Giants deep.

Then when they get the ball back they run it three times instead of throw twice and they are still up 16 at the two minute warning.

I despise not going for the first down on the last drive.

You cannot put the second team in with a quarter to play in an nfl game. Ever. 5 mins is different.

I get it, but most of the starters were still in there. All we had to do was hand the ball off and not fumble. Donaldson is in the RB rotation; it's not like he came off the bench. We still had 3 of our starting Oline in the game, albeit I'm considering Wright a starter since Ruiz got hurt. Rattler wasn't coming in to run the air raid offense.

How is this getting downvoted? When we should be playing with killer instinct we have a coach decide to pump breaks instead. It's not as if we were up 40 points; 24 is in range of a comeback. That was some weak, low energy coaching there, and that the Giants almost brought this to overtime is proof of that.

No way they would have sent it to overtime. They had all the momentum there and would have gone for 2 and the win had they scored
