I don't get the Winston Lovefest by those here.

The guy is a Turnover machine. The butt of jokes by Saints fans. Why you guys think he's the answer at QB is dumbfounding. His 5 years as a starter in Tampa tells you who he is. I cant wait til he throws 2-3 picks in a game, and watch his supporters melt and try to save face by saying they knew he wasn't the answer. When it happens Chicken should BAN you all.

Your problem is you're assuming facts not in evidence.
There is no love fest for Winston. He's a gifted athlete and our team seems to want to try him out as our starter next year and so, as fans, we are hoping that teaming up with CSP will be the secret formula that turns him into our franchise guy for a decade. It might not work, but we're going to have to wait and see.

He was first a BUC. In his 5th season throws 30 INT's. He got worse not better over time. Its why the Bucs cut bait with him.

He also threw 30 TDs and for 5k yards. But that is always overlooked.
He’s dirt cheap and we have the opportunity to see if we can fix a very naturally talented guy in a year where we lose the greatest player in franchise history. The same year mind you where we drafted very late.
Outside of having drafted a successor early in a previous year who is ready to go, it’s about as good a situation as you could hope for. Either Payton is going to be able to help Jameis reach his potential and eliminate some of the turnovers and we have a fixed young qb with a great pedigree moving forward... OR we’re going to be drafting higher next year in a better to position to get our future guy.
All the while not having any long term stake invested in Jameis this year.
