Cuts, trades, surplus of pick, which way should we go in you opinion?

We gotta try to flip these vets and get picks and more cap space, also we really need to start over in the front office.

You aren’t getting any valuable picks for our vets.
Build is going to be a few years. Draft and develop good players. Sign some under the radar guys that can contribute and find some impact players like QB, WR, RB and DE in the draft.

You embrace the suck. We’re going to be bad for a while. Trade anyone with value, prioritize cap space and picks. Rebuild through the draft and utilize your cap space once you know you have a difference maker at QB.

I realize that but 4th and 5th rounders are valuable too in a rebuild. A lot better than holding a player with value now hostage for nothing later

Absolutely do not sign a free agent next year. Team is too far away to blow cap space.
Use cap space next year to cut underperformed like Ruiz.
Trade back when you can and stockpile picks for 2027 and 2028 drafts.

The only way to fix it is to have multiple years with draft success. Only problem is 29 other teams are trying to do the same thing and most are better than the saints at it.

Fire Loomis. Fire anyone that had their hands on any draft in last decade. Fire Brandon Staley. Fire special teams coach. Fire Kellen Moore. Fire our strength and conditioning staff. We constantly get bitched by opposing teams and injured. I'm pretty sure Chris Olave has lost 15 pounds since he's been here, when he needed to gain 25 pounds.
Cut/trade the following players. Some because they suck and some out of respect.

Depends how fast you’re trying to fix it. The draft is a slow fix and you can’t be sure they’ll all work out.
Leveraging free agency to sign low to mid level free agents to short term contracts is faster.
However we have to fix QB 1st!!!!!
Rattler is a place holder..no shame on him. I don’t know what Shough is quite yet. We may need a discarded veteran QB for Moore to fix or get lucky in the draft.

Agreed, but the results thus far on the most recent draft are awful. Need to rebuild the front office and the scouting dept asap. Also, under the last 3 coaching staffs, the injuries are a never ending thing. Look at the practice field surfaces and the dome turf.
