Didn’t we trade ups to get Sullivan?
Yeah our 2, 1sts that year.
And we had a huge hole at CB in those days
Abject failure

Shame on me for not realizing I was being trolled.
Pressures are a shite statistic.
quote:
Pressure is defined as a pass-rush play where the rusher affects the quarterback before the pass is thrown. A pass rush becomes a pressure when pressure probability exceeds 75 percent. This includes sacks, QB hits, QB hurries and other plays where the pass rusher comes into close proximity with the quarterback; it will also include plays where the pass rusher has a free path to the QB or is winning the matchup with the blocker.
Basically, the QB drops back, the pass rusher takes 5 seconds to run up the field and passes within 1.5 yards of the QB who steps up in the pocket and throws a completion…and the DE who only made the QB step up into the pocket but allowed the 25 yard pass got a “pressure”. Whoopty-fricking-doo!
At least “Quick Pressures” measure a pressure that occurs within the first 2.5 seconds of a play. While it still can result in a first down or a positive play, it at least rushes the play.
Again, I love both Patrick Swilling and Wayne Martin. But one had a much bigger impact on the game, and it wasn’t the big run stuffing DE that got pressures. It was the speedy OLB who could bend the edge and actually get to the QB!

Why would the Giants be drafting a WR that high? They just got Nabers but maybe there's injury concerns. Just curious I guess.

They don't have another wr, their #2 is now with Tennessee.
But there's too many injury concerns with Tyson IMHO

I think Saleh will want to go defense but at the same time they need to add pieces for Cam Ward.

I said it before on here, but I still think Dallas moves up to get Reese, Styles, or delane.

They need cb in the worst way, I can be convinced to move back to give up delane if no pass rusher or styles bring available.

If the cowboys wants to give us both of those 1s they have, I'll let them have whoever they want to draft. We could use 2 first over 1 at the moment.

Would you trade 8 and 42 for 12 and 20?
Value wise it's
8 - 1400
42 - 480
12 - 1200
20 - 850
Because I sure would

IMO, he’s like a smaller version of Chase Young or Bresee. We already have that. We need a Pat Swilling, not a Wayne Martin. Couldn’t have said it better myself.
Swilling= Styles

I (IMO) think for Styles to reach is full potential, should be an edge. I think that his length, bend speed, and nose for the QB is wasted at MLB.
As much as I would love to take him and make that switch for him…….that’s a pretty big gamble at 8. I just think he could be even better than Reese on the edge

Styles
-663 snaps
-64 of those rushing passer
Pat Swilling once had a 7 sack game in college lol

I don't. I think he's perfect as a hybrid off ball LB and 3rd Safety who can also blitz. having a guy like Styles and Ellis would be great because of their versability around Stuntsman. We could play a true 3-LB lineup and not lose much in terms of coverage. That would be great for our run D and blitz scheme.
Posted on 3/23/26 at 9:08 am to Lester Earl
Yeah I said this in another post, Styles is in no way, shape, or form an edge player, but he can occasionally blitz from the middle or the edge. He is a stand up LB that can blitz, not the other way around.

and nose for the QB
He has 0, 2, 6, and 1 sack(s) across his career. Not sure where this nose for the QB thing is coming from. He has pretty standard stand up LB blitz numbers. As an edge he would be seen as a failure.
Posted on 3/23/26 at 9:54 am to htran90
Yes I would. Because then I could package our 4s and potentially move up once more if their is someone sitting on the board we want.

I think his role on the defense changed a bit last year. He was not asked to be edge. They allowed Reese to chase while asked Styles to stay back and cover. Styles can do it all if needed.

Do you think pat swilling ever played safety or traditional LB, Chad?
