How are we going to keep Carr upright?

Even if he plays like a rockstar, do we have enough faith in our Oline to keep him upright. How many pocket collapses and 3rd down sacks can we expect? We have no depth and we’re putting a lot of faith in unproven talent. The NFC is going to come down to the trenches. I just hope we hold up

Players have to step up and coaches need to scheme correctly. If the players suck, the FO needs to fix it. No excuse for not winning the division.

The Saints have invested a lot of draft capital in the OL. We'll see how it works out, but Peat is always injured anyway and Trai was signed a week ago.

it's something that no one wants to talk about.
It's not that the Saints don't have talented linemen, but they haven't stayed healthy lately.
And I know that Turner and Peat weren't working with the first team offense, but it is a concern depth on the line means everything now. That's how defenses can overcome the flag happy penalties that the league likes for the refs to throw.
One fact remains, you harass the QB, chances are you're going to good.
The way the CBA is currently, I think that the O-line really is at the biggest disadvantage as far as the time/work they need to put in.

Relax. There is still 40 days till the season opener. Peat likely just had a Quad pull or a strain. He could be back well before the season opener. He's familiar with the system so it won't affect him like it would a newcomer. This will give someone else the chance for more reps. Not time to worry yet.

Well.
Only time will tell, BUT.
Carr is a significant improvement over Winston and Dalton. Olave is showing no signs of a sophomore slump, Thomas seems healthy and motivated to show he is a true #1 WR. The Saints may have on of the best if not THE best RB rooms in the NFL and the TE's may not be as big of a question mark as we though.
Maybe, just may be all of this comes together so that the Online doesn't have to play like the greatest Onine ever assembled to have due success for the team.

Was going to say, even with a potential revolving door at LG due to injury; will still be the best oline he's had in some time (maybe ever).
Under Drew, the key to this offense was giving the QB room to step-up. If that's still true to this offense, it is concerning when you have injury issues at the LG position, but you can scheme to help the LG easier than an OT position.

Our Oline I don't believe is necessarily a weak spot. At worst we at least have an average Oline. I'd say above average in my opinion.

I am worried about the O-line as well, BUT I trust his scrambling abilities more than Drew's. I just hope he's intelligent enough to throw the ball away and not to force anything. I found that Drew would force the ball into coverage to keep a drive going, or instead of taking a sack. Not sure if that was to boost stats, but anyway.
Hopefully with Kamara, Thomas, and our TE group will give him enough to dump the ball off if he's under pressure too often or scrambling.
