Honest question about MT

Is he done with football, or just waiting on someone to sign him? I don't want him back here in NO, but just an honest question about his future in the NFL. Hard to believe that his career would just be 'over'.

Seems like HE, purposely ended his own career by becoming an intolerable bitch !

What's your deal with Triplett? I get you hated the switch from ESPN but he and Nick have been great together.

I think he wants to sign somewhere, but football might be done with him.

Both

He’s washed. He’s not worth a roster spot.

The fact that despite his historic on field number early in his career he has seemingly gotten no calls for workouts speaks loudly to his health. IMO, teams will always put up with shitheads like MT13 causing drama IF they can produce on the field.
Thomas likely screwed himself over and ended his own career by refusing to work with team doctors and seeking out medical advice apart from the Saints.
Say what you want about the team medical staff, but if they would have screwed up Thomas and ended his career he would have gotten a n injury settlement on his way out the door.

I don't think the getting a 2nd opinion and following that approach is much of an issue on its own. Players do that a lot; hell that's basically why everyone went to Dr. Andrews for just about everything a few years back
Where he most likely screwed up, with the league, was the way he handled everything when the more conservative approach did not work, and it appeared he intentionally sabotaged a season by waiting several months later and refusing to respond to the team. Then when he finally does come back, he's a headache and starts publicly calling out his QB (understandably so, but you can't do that).

I think his ankle problem was a bigger deal than people realized.
Then the fact that he's already slow to begin with, compounded with his attitude, finally made it a reality that he's done.
People forget that he came in 2016 as a pretty old player (23) and he last played in 2023 (30). He's now 32. He's done

So sad
quote:
Saints quarterbacks coach Ronald Curry, who was Thomas' wide receivers coach from 2018 to 2020, described the response after the ankle injury as a "stress reaction" to the hardware.
"He did nothing wrong, his body just didn't react to the surgeries like it should have," Curry told ESPN

Receivers are a pain in the arse. As soon as they start being difficult, get what you can get and ship 'em off on their way.

His health or his desire.
But he's done.

Saints made him wealthy and he’s physically broken down now.
It’s over …. and he just lives off Saints money now !!
