First off here is the article: Aaron Wilson is the reporter right now that seems to be giving major updates.

Mentions these players involved potentially:
Ramczyk
Ruiz
Davenport
McCoy
Onyemata

As well as the 3 first round picks.

Says Lattimore restructure is likely.

Ramczyk makes no sense considering we just restructured his contract.

Why does it have to be Ram and not Peat!?

Giving up a guy like Ram or McCoy plus other good players plus 3 1sts would be tough.

So… three of the players that make the Saints a good destination for a QB? Great…

Ramczyk

This would be utterly stupid with Armstead pretty much not likely to come back.

Giving up that much for Watson would be pointless if he has no legitimate protection which was a major issue for him in Houston.

McCoy and Davenport are the only ones who make sense, unless they like Cruz (it is Houston and they are stupid). Ram and Latt literally cannot be moved because we just restructured them and we would be on the hook for a huge cap hit if traded. Same goes for AK or MT13.

Since it is Houston, we should offer a platter of Trautman, Cruz and Baun with some firsts.

I do not believe we would give him.

He didn’t say all 4 would be in the trade, but those are the players that are being considered.

So at least 2 of those players will likely be in the trade along with the first round picks

“Pro football network” - I don’t think this is even a legit website

Gotta think Davenport is part of the offer. After that, I would think Ruiz or McCoy could be along with 2-3 1sts a 2nd and a 3rd. That is a ton of compensation. However, if Watson is what he was before the year off, other than Mahomes, Brady, Rodgers, Allen and maybe Burrow, what QBs are better than him? You may take Brady and Rodgers out given their age if considering value long-term.

No way we give up Ram, especially not with Armstead likely leaving.

I could see and agree with all others on the list though

We must remember that the Saints themselves could get some big time picks in a Sean Payton trade potentially.

Davenport is the only one that makes sense. An offensive piece especially the oline would be a dumb move trying to trade for a QB.

Ram doesn't make sense based on his contract situation, neither does Lattimore.

What makes the most sense to me is McCoy, Davenport + Picks. Their contracts are tradable (McCoys is even favorable at this stage) and they are both high-upside players that Houston would probably actually want.

This would allow us to move Ruiz to C ( ), which is probably a better fit for him anyway

Well those are our best players besides D. Davis. You will have to give up some of your best assets to get a QB of Watson's ability. Everyone is available when we're talking Watson. Everyone.

If McCoy is included, then you can move Ruiz to Center. I know everyone is down on Ruiz..but he is playing out of position. He played Center and wanted to play Center in the pros.

He might just be better there (not better than McCoy, better than he is at Guard).

I seriously doubt we give up Ramczyk. I could see it being Davenport though.

Ram and Lattimore won’t be included.

Like I said before, it will be two each out of Davenport or Turner, and McCoy and Ruiz. Depends on what the Texans think of those players. I’m almost certain McCoy will be going. And likely Davenport. But they may have had a high grade on Turner and don’t like Davenports injury history. No way any of us knows.

Both of those players contracts are coming up. Ruiz and Turner are not as good, but have potential, and most importantly are cost effective for our cap for a few more years.

Yea, it would suck to lose McCoy. He can easily be replaced though.

Giving up all those players plus the draft picks would be the death of this team for the next decade. Watson is a good QB but he was a not Pat Mahomes good.
