Won’t happen no way a TE we have 3 pretty good ones now. JJ, Taysom, and Trautmen I’m good. Don’t want the always hurt DT either. We need pass rushers.

We have 3 pretty good ones but zero true TEs.

IMO the will draft a TE and could draft one as his as 40.

Daniel Jeremiah has us taking Michael Mayer TE Notre Dame at #29. I would freaking love that pick because he's an upgrade over what we have and he's great value there

If we went offense I’d be thrilled with Jalin Hyatt in round 1. If mt 13 does play he’d be such a great addition to the wr group.

I don't think first round TEs have a lot of value IMO. It usually takes TEs quite a few years to get their groove.

There are exceptions of course, but that's not generally a good investment. JMO.

I’d love Hyatt as well.

But count me completely out on Bresee. He’s not a quality pass rusher and is inconsistent. He has no bend or moves.

If Mayers falls to 29 (depending on who's on the board) yea you have to take him. That would be a fantastic piece to the offense. He can block in the pass and run game. plus has good hands to swing out and beat LBr's at the next level.
With Johnson as a more of a down the field TE thread those two could be nasty on the field together.

And for the record if Mayers falls IMO that means the DT's and DE's we may expect to be there at 29 probably went early so TE may the the best play in that case.

He's pretty tiny to be a factor in the run game.

You can get elite TEs later in the draft. They are like RBs, unless you're dealing with a unicorn, it's not worth it. Mayer is no unicorn.

Yep, want our 1st pick to be DL or OL.

SpoTrac or whatever has him getting like $9 million a year or something crazy like that. Love Foster, but no thanks at anything near that price. I think we’re good with Johnson and Trautman as our top 2. I’m fine with adding depth there later in the draft if there’s one there as BPA. But I can’t imagine us having one as BPA at 29 or 40.

In all these mocks O Cyrus torrence is still there. How, i dont know. We'll take him before the defensive tackle.

I get it, but we have Olave and Shaheed.

1st round pick needs to address a bigger need.

I would love to see some metrics behind D-line mega recruits that underperformed in college and their relative success in the NFL. I'm guessing its not a pretty picture.

Neither of which are primary wideouts. They are ideally 2nd/3rd options.

Would Olave stats be a primary on any teams?

He’s the exact same size as Trautman

Olave stats

Stats don’t make primary wideouts in real offenses, traits do. This isn’t fantasy football.

Olave is a really good player but not someone you funnel a passing game through.
