All you have to do is get one player to tackle or push the receiver out of the area of the ball and have another player intercept it."

I made a similar point early this morning in the More Sports Board. If this is allowed why not coach it?

because if the receiver couldve made a play on the ball without that tackle, its PI. if the receiver, as the officials ruled here, wouldnt have been able to get back even without the push then why coach the push in the first place.

The penalty would've been upheld and the Saints would have 1 last crack at it.
...
Didn't we just see the same thing on the Drew Brees hit? (stirs the pot)...

I'd be pissed because the flag was thrown. If the play happened exactly the same but without the flag, I wouldn't think twice about it.

thought you would've talked about the green bay game 2 years ago where we couldn't shove ingram into the endzone at the 1.

I would have been livid. I'm more curious about what Brees' reaction would have been. I know he's typically reserved but I would have liked to see what he did if anything.

The ole "Bush Push" version 2.0 comparable to his USC vs. ND game, eh?!

I would be very accepting because the referees have a really tough job.

Are you serious? That's a clown question bro, I would have punched a hole in the wall.
