Per a source with knowledge of the situation, quarterback Deshaun Watson remains undecided between the trio of NFC South teams that are in hot pursuit of his services.

The Falcons need to know something, because quarterback Matt Ryan earns a $7.5 million roster bonus tomorrow. As Albert Breer of SI.com noted earlier, it’s not due until April 15. Still, the earning of the payment may trigger a cap complication, bumping a dead-money charge of more than $40 million to more than $48 million.

Wait so no matter what they would have $40+ million cap hit from Ryan?

Or maybe the media requested a 5 o'clock hour announcement for maximum ratings.

I don't know I think that's a little unfair. He has the opportunity to go play for his home team that he grew up watching, the only problem being it is by far the team in the worst situation roster wise to win anytime soon. Anyone here who says it would be easy for them in the same situation is lying to themselves.

What makes one a diva because they don't make a life altering decision on your time table?

The guy is probably dealing with all his family trying to get him to the falcons. Meanwhile he knows football wise the saints are the best fit. If his hometown wasn’t in Georgia this decision would be done already.

Hey Matt - sorry about giving your job away, btw I know we owe you a few bucks. WOuld you be cool with working with us to pay you that over, say the next few years rather than a lump sum on April 15th like your contract says, just an idea? and again sorry about firing you.

Honestly I think this is really good news. If he only wanted to be in Atlanta he would’ve already.

Seems like all Louisiana sports fans are, shall we say, logically challenged. I honestly think it boils down to Watson trying to decide if he wants to be closer to mom and the family (Atlanta) or on a better team on paper (coaching staff minus Payton is still a bit of a question ark, particularly on offense).

Hope we get him though
