Like I said, if I am Matt Ryan I am not exactly willing to push payments back to do them a favor. Not after they just up and trade me like that. Unless they could restructure much more money to make it worth it? But then how does that make him more attractive to trade?

Why do them any favors for wanting to trade him? He's a QB that has been there so long and took them to the Super Bowl fairly recently. That's got to hurt.

This. I don’t get peoples lack of understanding or empathy for other people.

Did you take your current job on a whim because someone wanted you to make a decision? While I refresh every 15 minutes to see if there is a decision, I respect that he is taking his time with the decision.

Also, it probably benefits us the longer it takes. An quick emotional decision would be to go to his hometown. The rational decision is to go to a better organization with a better chance to win.

So is "Paid" and "Earned date" mean the same thing? If it does...

I'd like to see him make a decision soon too, but this is fricking ridiculous. He's making a big decision that would big time alter his career and life. I'd take all the time I needed for a decision too.

I'm sure you do the same thing for big decisions too. That's what sane human beings do.

What happened to Matt Ryan was due his bonus today at 4 est? And that all the reports of his cap hit being 40 mil wasn't true because he didn't sign the paperwork? People need to get their facts straight!

Lol. Its pre-Madonna.

Definition of prima donna
1: a principal female singer in an opera or concert organization
2: a vain or undisciplined person who finds it difficult to work under direction or as part of a team

And I can now add a new definition: A person who thinks prima donna is spelled "pre-Madonna"

He officially counts and is eligible to receive his 7.5 million bonus. It is now considered Friday for the NFL. However, he isn’t actually due the money until next month.

He can still work something out to extend that eligible to receive bonus date if he wants, but I don’t see why he should do the Falcons any favors if they plan to move him. Not after how long he has been their starting QB.

Their cap hit is 40+ million no matter what if he isn’t on their team this year.
