Taysom hill was, is and will be a weakpoint at QB versus other options we could have. Can he throw, yes, but not at the level we need. Can he run, yes, but for how long?

If this guy was a franchise QB, we wouldn't be in the situation we are in for the playoff hunt. Brees would have us at the top of the NFC with this defense.

Trevor Siemian was like roger dorn and still beat him out at first. And this is regardless of the WR's we have. This is CSP seeing practice and putting him first.

CSP screwed up royally and holding onto this special teams player that can throw a 30 yard pass sometimes.

With that said, I hope we can make playoffs. I will pull for the saints and hill, but we could have had someone better if we were smarter.

Not many teams have backup QBs that will have them winning/competing for the playoffs if they are relying on them for the bulk of the season. And to top it off, 1/2 the offense is missing significant time. Then you have to add the fact of the cap hell the team is in, and the options are even more limited. There were not a lot of options for the team considering the limited resources

Hill is a much better option than Siemian. The reason Payton went to Siemian first was in hopes he could still use Hill in the joker role. Then Hill got hurt, so they had to wait to make the change.

Imagine watching this team the last two months and coming to the conclusion that Taysom Hill is the problem.

It’s hard to believe people like this can function in society.

Hill has been the Backup for a few years now. Praised by CSP. Diminished our draft priority for QB while brees was here. Ultimately set us up to fail.

Given, WInston was doing great and we would not be talking about this if he didn't get hurt, but winston gets hurt and boom hill was #3 all along. amazing. pure BS by CSP on hill being a QB.

Lets hope karama goes on a tear, bc lord.

you are an ignorant mother fricker sitting here ignoring taysom hill's concussion from jameis winston's fricking throw that had him out several weeks, his plantar fascia injury then his throwing middle finger ligament issue. All the while taysom is giving his all to the team and trying to help us win. Taysom has proven to be a more accurate passer than what we've seen of recent. I would be willing to bet my life the combination of the foot and finger issues are not helping him on top of the lack of offensive line at times, and the complete lack of any receiving threat at the tight end and wide receiver positions that we've been hearing the excuse card all season for the other quarterbacks. Taysom hill has stepped up and also rushed for 101 yards and 73 yards in a team win that topped 200 rushing yards. It needs to be a fundamental different type of offense with Taysom. Get the frick over it all cause you sound like a complete ignorant bitch.

He’s a backup, not the starter.
And he’s a decent backup, who can play and contribute in certain offensive packages when the starter is healthy.
I don’t think there are many Saints fans still clamoring for him to be the full-time starting quarterback.

How many games did he play 90% of the snaps at QB since Jameis went down? What’s his record?

Hill was the primary backup for maybe one season, and that was last season. And he went 3-1, as a starter. And he contributed to way more wins than any other “backup” in the league with his play on the field as a Jack of all trades.

We didn’t draft a qb in the first or second round because 1) We were all in on drew and didn’t want to waste a pick on a non contributor, 2) had low draft picks where getting a qb is hit or miss 3) when we had a can’t miss guy like Mahomes we were going to draft him but got beaten to the punch.

This is an awful take and you should feel bad.

Or he wanted Taysom in his usual role and thought Trevor was good enough to handle it, that would be a win, win. Plus Hill was injured.

We lost 5 games in a row. Now think about what Sean did with Bridgewater and Taysom.

Do you think we would have lost 5 games if we had a healthy OL and a healthy Taysom?

Not saying he is a long term solution at QB.

You really crowing about the Saints beating the Jets?

I mean, I thoroughly enjoyed the game but I realized it was the Jets and and the score was 13-6 going into the 4th quarter.

I'm saying this thread is DAF. We got a win after losing 5 straight. The final line was saints -4.5, and we won by 21. This isn't college.
