If some of these teams desperate for a QB can make a trade or sign these guys it would make it much more likely someone like Mayfield will slide down the board, and I think if he is available around 12-15 then Payton is going to fight like hell to trade up and grab him.

Cousins
Foles
Bradford
Bridgewater
Keenum

Now, I assume Minnesota sticks with Keenum, but still there's 4 viable options for a QB right there, not including Smith going to the Redskins.

Minnesota isn’t sticking with Keenum. They are a likely suitor for Cousins.

Our time is now, we need players that can contribute right now. I cant see any scenario where we take a QB early.

Im in that boat. There will be other qbs in the draft and free agents when brees leaves.

Cousins would be a fool to sign with anyone other than Jacksonville. They have big WRs, a legit TE, a very good line, a stud RB, and a D that can damn near win on their own.

The same goes for Eli. He should be blowing up coughlin’s phone.

Unless these teams follow the Bears' lead from last year. Sign a QB to a fairly large deal, then trade up to take a QB in the 1st round.

Should not even be considered. Saints could draft another Lattimore/Ramczyk... or a backup QB to sit on the sidelines. Which one helps us win a Super Bowl in 2019 or 2020??

Another team might want to trade into the bottom of the first to pick up a Mason Rudolph or another qb if they slide.

I'd be ok with getting more 2nd and 3rd rd picks for this draft in exchange for a bottom 1st.

You know Minny has Stephen Diggs, Adam Thielen, Kyle Rudolph, Latavious Murray, Jerrick McKinnon and a stud defense too?

Edit: Even forgot about Dalvin Cook, so literally everything Jax has

He's played well and the Redskins have been absolute morons in the way they have handled his situation from the beginning. He should go to the Cowboys and beat out Dak then give the Redskins the big middle finger.

There's also Arizona.

I still think it depends on what happens with Brees. If he signs a one year deal then maybe. But if he signs a three or four year deal, I assume they'll go BPA for a Superbowl run knowing that there will be 5 more Baker Mayfields in next year's draft.... and by that I mean 5 guys everyone swears are going to be all-stars even though 4 of them will be out of the league in three years. Baker may well be an all-time great, but the odds are not in his favor.

Serious question. Do you think the Saints had any interest in Mahomes last year? The reason I ask is because KC made a HUGE move (from 27 to 10) to pick just ahead of the Saints. Now maybe that was really more of a move to get ahead of Houston at 12, but you never know.

If the Saints did have serious interest in Mahomes last year, then it's not unreasonable to think they could be looking to take a QB in the first round this season. I think we'll know more about what the Saints could do once free agency starts. The Saints made some very good additions through FA last season and they have some cap space to work with this season to address needs.

Depending upon what happens in FA the Saints may feel there won't be a player available at 27 who will immediately help them (like Lattimore last season at 11). They might be even bolder than usual in moving up

Ironic, last year you guys were ashooing for Mahomes but now you want to draft someone that can “contribute now.” Without injuries we’re are in the Superowl. We don’t need to get that much better. Why not trade up for the QB of the future? So when Brees does retire we easily pass the torch instead of going through phases ie Browns, Broncos, etc.. the time is now. We have more picks to bolster spots of need

Better hope Baker gets caught doing blow in Vegas then. Ole Baw is a lock to go top 10 according to my sources

So when Brees does retire

When that happens you pick up a Kirk Cousins, Sam Bradford, Case Keenum, Foles etc...

Or you roll the dice on an unproven rookie QB that you draft with a top 5 pick.

Imagine if we could of got Kamara production out of Garret Grayson...

I was about to say, he really couldn't go wrong with either Jax or Minny. Either team would be scary with him. For our sake I hope it's Jax.
