Has the guaranteed money been released?

Otherwise all this pillow biting is silly!

No but what we know if it was 2 million less than whatever it is than it would have been a good signing

Dude goes down on first contact almost every time. Brees will still make him good.

I think Fleener has the ability to put up big numbers in this offense. I absolutely love the fit. I actually think he will be very good.

I want to see the real contract numbers before I comment too much on the overpay. 7 mill a year seems like a lot but everyone is spending and those numbers might be as real as a porn star's tits.

Would have preferred to allocate money elsewhere but it's a definite need and I'll wait to see the rest of the "plan".

I think it's a solid deal for a position that is extremely important in this offense. Brees makes TE's, not the other way around. And we needed more offensive weapons to help out Brees.

The negative overreaction is hilarious though. We all lost our minds when we signed Byrd and that has been a dud. I've learned not to read too much into offseason moves until players put on pads and play.

But some of y'all keep posting about how awful this signing was. One poster in particular clearly had Fleener steal his woman from him.

I will say this, according to Tom Brady, the TE is the most important position on O, besides QB. TE's are responsible for so much; receiving, pass blocking, run blocking, safety net for the QB when pressured. I think signing a good athletic TE for 5 years at 7 million, prolly half guaranteed, is a wise decision by our front office. The future is bright, let's stop bitching.

Doubt it. I'd say $10-12 mil most likely. $16 mil max.
