LOT of Draft capital invested in that group, let's hope they have a great season and set the tone for a young QB and balanced OFF.

I’m like the lineup. Banks and Fuaga would be great young bookend tackles for now ant the future. McCoy is a really good center. Ruiz is good enough. Penning is the unknown at guard. I find him a little slow and I don’t know how he will do stacked against DTs. I hope he does well and trust Moore to put the best 5 on the field.

Our OL and RBs will have to carry this team this year. I like giving Shough a shot at QB, but he is inexperienced and we have no true #1 WR.

Kelvin Banks, Trevor Penning, Erik McCoy, Cesar Ruiz, Taliese Fuaga

Call me crazy but that group has a ton of potential to be really good

Honestly I don’t think Penning will be the weak link at LG. It’s Ruiz we need to get rid of. He’s not terrible but he’s not that good either and not worth his contract. I’d have rather taken a guard in round 3 or 4 this year to be the starter and try to trade Ruiz. I think he needs to go to a team in need of a center since that’s his natural position.

Saints should have a top 3 offensive line considering the draft capital invested in the group.

Hopefully better coaching can get more out of Ruiz and Penning while continuing to develop Fuaga and Banks.

I’ve got a really good feeling about Penning. He’s got work ethic and will prove himself on that line, wherever it may be.

We agree on should. Problem is 2 of the firsts (Ruiz, Penning) have not come close to measuring up to where they were picked and McCoy just had his first season ending injury. Our history shows like Armstead they become injury prone.

Given the miserable performance last season becoming top 3 is a stretch, but we may have something to talk about if Banks can be close to Fuaga as a rookie.
