Sell sell sell. Get rid of cap hell. Can Jordan and Kamara need to be traded. Cut MK. Get as many 2-3rd picks as possible. Cheap but good players.

Keep Allen one more year to take all the L’s. Start fresh in 24

It’s the only way

Good News. Thank Sean P as Saints are now attractive as a HC destination whereas before it wasn’t

You’re looking at $68M in dead cap between Cam, Kamara, and Thomas for next season. Some of you need to come to grips with reality.

Any moves would have to wait until next season. As has been pointed out in EVERY thread wanting to trade players away, the team is in cap hell next year and because of the way the contracts are structured any trades would make that cap hit worse.

Next year's expected cap is $220M (up from $206M this year). The active contracts for next year are already over $280M for 38 players, so any moves would need to drastically reduce cap hits next year. Because Loomis loves his voidable years, there aren't many players that can be traded. Also, in order to get under the cap, expect Loomis to restructure a lot of those players everyone wants to trade as those contracts would have the biggest impact on reducing that number.

No. You cut bait now, and you go after a young Offensive coach with some vision, and you allow him to start assembling the team he wants, even if year 1 they will take some lumps.

You want your future HC in the building to help make those decisions.

This as well, OP's way would be giving DA the authority to essentially restructure/rebuild the team with "his players" and then forcing the new HC to have to deal with those contracts

The only player you don’t trade is Kamara. His contract would hurt you to get rid of him and he’s still the best player on the team but he’s a RB so he won’t bring back the return for how good he is. You’ve got an OL that has a chance to be really good with Ruiz finally playing well if we can get rid of Peat and Penning comes back and plays well at LT which allows you to move Hurst inside to LG where he’s a MUCH better player. If you can get a 7th round pick to get off MT13’s contract I’ll do that deal today.

hell no, the house is on fire and you want to keep the guy responsible for setting the fires?

what we saw last night showed the backups and scrubs did a pretty decent to almost good job filling in so thats encouraging, but at the same time, the guys not playing account for half of our salary cap, think about that.

if everyone not playing was cut, we are out of cap hell and at the same time we are still competitive.

even with 90% of the starters out, we had backups and scrubs playing and we had 3 turnovers, yet we were right there, still with a chance to win at the end

No upside. Not good enough to out coach officiating. No real imagination.

Missed the point. Me saying Keep Allen one more year is to let him take all the inevitable losses to get the saints a top 5 pick and start fresh with new blood post 23. I’m seeing this approach mainly cause I’ve never or can’t remember seeing a coach come in with this situation and make it all the way through.

It will take AT LEAST TWO consecutive seasons with 6 wins or less for the Saints FO to decide to completely re-build, IMHO.

With better coaching and health, team should be 5-1 at least.
