As a fan I'd be happy also, but also a little nervous about the contract you're going to hand out to a player who isn't a true safety

It was a great trade for them. They’re about to have to give big money to their QB and just gave the bag to one of their receivers. It’ll be interesting to see how CGJ does as a true safety and whether he gets the payday he wants from them.

Eagle fans should worry more about that mouth breather they have at QB Jalen Hurts than getting a nickle corner. Probably won't even make the playoffs. That Bucs playoff game was vintage Jalen. quote:

Malcolm Jenkins was a below average safety that was able to resurrect his career somewhat with the Eagles. Still I thought he was overrated. My lasting impression of him was that 2011 playoff game against the 49ers Vernon Davis that cost us on the finally drive. That's what Jenkins was in my book, giving up the critical play at the worst time. Payton made a ton of questionable moves. Bringing him back and not paying Vonn Bell what would have been a lower contract was a mistake.
The jury is still out on Gardner at safety position.
